Yep... same issue here. Works as usual Chrome, but Safari is a no go. No setting changes... just happened overnight.

Same here. Clearly google broke something. I tried with Magic Mouse and Logitech mouse and neither responds. I also noticed that google maps with randomly take me back to a previous location which is super frustrating if I am doing some digging and then it loses my place.

Me too. Something I use a lot and it's way slower to have to move out and use the + and - buttons.

Just an observation: after switching to Chrome user-agent, I feel that the Google Maps zoom seems SOOO BUTTERY SMOOTH compared to before-it-broke-zoom. Is it just me??

same - can't scroll. Latest version of everything and setting user agent to 15.4 seems to re-activate the zoom again.

Quite a lot of errors.

Actually the changing user agent only works for a few interactions then stops again.

It's part of the War of Goole against Apple! Google is problem because they don't want Safari on their sites, even iOS users!, this is why I went to Duck Duck Go instead!

Yes it works! I wonder if google implemented some sort of GPU-based rendering.. it's crazy smooth now.. it's like going from 60fps to 120fps!

I just changed the user agent in the develop tab, and can now zoom by scrolling again. As soon as I set the user agent back to default or safari 15.2 the problem returned. I don't know what caused this issue all of a sudden, but I blame google... ??
But its working in FireFox and Opera with the default settings, so it might be Safari but there hasn't been an update in the last 2 days and it was working fine after the last update to 15.4. So I'm calling it 50/50 right now, I hope someone fixes it soon!

Is it me or is Safari and Google Maps acting wonky again? Whenever I try to switch to satellite view, it just freezes. At the same time, I noticed google now has a Google Maps macOS app that they are trying to promote. Coincidence?? sigh..

Trackpad zoom is jerky again in Safari
Not for me at all. Have you tried any debugging, like checking how much memory is available, any other apps running. My biggest concern for a browser being jumpy is bad software in the background, no proof, just my concern. also is it a bluetooth trackpad, I only use the built in in my laptop, interference with bluetooth could cause issues
