Becareful with getting a Pixel Fold, those like me who bought the original where abandoned by Google very quickly, and it will more than likely in my view be the same... so paying £1800 $1800 means nothing to Google sorry to say..

That’s why it’s good they have preferred care option for any issues but all the new features will be on pixel fold

Ordered the Pixel 9 Pro XL Obsidian!
Now the waiting is the hardest part.....

Zero will power here. XL in hazel ordered.

I’m actually looking forward to being able to message the rest of my house without them giving me grief for using WhatsApp now that iOS will have RCS.

Kids eh!

Google store only offering $650 trade-in for my S24 Ultra. Where Best Buy says $1,000.

At this point I'm just going to wait for the phones to be out in store next week and walk in and try to get one. I'm not going to pre-order right now.

Cuz I'm really conflicted on going smaller for once. I would like to at least hold the pixel 9 Pro in hand before making my decision where I've always gone with the XL larger version for years and years. I might want to go a little bit smaller but just not sure yet.
I just checked Best Buy as well, they are offering $999 for the S24+ plus a $200 BB gift card when ordering the 9 Pro XL. That is a seriously sweet deal. I love my S24+ but wow, not sure I can pass up that trade in value.

Well, so much for rumors. We were being told the starting price for the XL was going to be $1199, trade in prices would be low and no freebies and then we learned that trade in prices were actually quite high and Google gave away a $200 store credit.

Kudos to Google in the US for the trade-ins for their loyal customers

Yup. $200 in store credit, plus another $136 as I get 10% of the total purchase in Google Store credit with my Google One membership is not a bad deal at all. And $699 for my P8P is better than I'd get trying to sell or trade it anywhere else. Not bad at all. It was too tempting for me to pass up.

Watched the videos in more detail this evening whilst I've had some downtime (on SanFran hours this week - one meeting to go) 🤨

Think I'll take advantage of my EE upgrade next month and go for the Pixel 9 Fold rather than the iPhone 16 etc...

Looking forward to my S24U landing tomorrow and daily driving a flagship Android device and watch for a change; but that new 9 Fold looks amazing!

Ooph 🥰

Managed to hold off ordering pixel 9 pro. So far. I did order buds pro 2 though.... May need to use the £50 store credit that I will get towards a phone to go with them lol

So finally had some time to read up on the new devices--Pixel 9 Pro Fold (alright, not using that entire name anymore) seems like it has some terrific upgrades/updates vs. the first PF. Wish it used the same cameras as the standard Pro phones but understand thinness may be a limiting factor. Otherwise, looks like a great improvement in most areas.

Only thing I'm genuinely disappointed about for all the new Pixels is lack of Qi2 wireless charging. Actually, they could've just ripped off and copied the MagSafe magnets from Apple and stuck with standard Qi and I'd have been OK. It would be nice to use any of my MagSafe chargers and accessories.

Agree. Less than ideal.

I've fitted one of the Spigen magsafe adapters to the back of my Spigen case on my Pixel Fold and it works perfectly.

Wireless charging is slow as sin, fine if you leave it all night.

I only use it to top up etc, charge it via cable if it's low and it needs a boost ASAP

Nice to binge a load of tech YouTube hands ons. Definitely pleased I went with Hazel, which for sure seems the best (IMO) this year. The pink on the Pro seems pointless. It's too pale to have any impact when porcelain is also in the line up.
Really missed a trick not having a blue option again. 😐

Raised the price again. Hmm, it's the reason I went to Pixel was the price and still get a decent phone.

Oh well, we'll see what the trade in values are for my P8. I may give the 9 a go. If we get Pixel buds with them again that will also help as I sold them and didn't keep em.

This is the first time ever, I'm not pre-ordering a new Pixel phone.

I'm happy and satisfied with my Pixel 8 Pro and will most likely get the Pixel 9 Pro, but I can wait it out a few weeks or a month.

I want to test it out in the store first, The two different Pro sizes, and then probably do a local trade-in for my S24 ultra in person.

enjoy your new Pixels folks.

Hoping that the Pixel 10 series with the next Tensor SoC (which will be made by TSMC this time) solves the heat and battery life issues they've had at least since the series 6.

Really wonderful devices otherwise.

It's funny I haven't had any heating issues with P7P or P8P .. I've always wanted a little bit more battery but that's always the case with most of my phones lol.. I'm sure I will be there for P10P as well
