Been trying out Gemini on the web. Seems underwhelming and doesn't seem to follow up on the context of the chat which is frustrating. Seems much less advanced than ChatGPT atm.

Don't really have much confidence with the new Pixel features that will be using Gemini...

Yeah, but it's strange how much BB is giving for trade in values (only $460) on the Pixel Fold 9 Pro.

Edit. Noticed if I went with a S24U (512GB) ... I was given a $600 trade in value.
Oh and i forgot the $200 BB gift card.....crazy deal!

Looking at EE here in the UK. The offer I've been sent is £56 a month and can choose from the ZF6 and PF2 as well as other flagship devices...

Think that's sold me on the new Pixel 9 Fold 👌🏼

Just want to wait a few weeks and see what decent cases and screen protectors come out for it before I take the offer up
Wait, how did you get this offer? EE are usually the most expensive? That's not a bad deal at all. Was the down payment high?

I’m telling you, if Best Buy gave me more for my iPhone 15 PM, I would actually pull the trigger on the XL, but inputs can’t justify spending almost $500 (256gb model) after trading my phone in.

Found a good carrier deal where the 9 Pro XL will cost me 300€.
Canceled the 9 Pro and ordered the XL instead. I will hopefully get the phone earlier, perhaps already next week.

Trying to decide between the Bellroy leather case and the official Google case. What cases are you getting?

I've been with EE for a long time but SIM only; they've been trying to get me on to a full contract for the last 2 years 😂

Agree; it's a very good offer

enjoy your new Pixels folks.

Hoping that the Pixel 10 series with the next Tensor SoC (which will be made by TSMC this time) solves the heat and battery life issues they've had at least since the series 6.

Really wonderful devices otherwise.
That is all I'm waiting for to go back to the pixel line 😇

Ordered a black 9 Pro. I always go for the largest model but it will be nice to try something smaller this time (even though 6.3" isn't exactly small).
Expected delivery is September 9.

Mine says September the 16th from Amazon. This isn’t to replace my iPhone but my ancient OnePlus 6, which I’ve been trying to replace literally all year.

Have to admit, the 9 Pro in the black leather Bellroy case looks excellent!

Some of the trade ins in the UK are weird.
Vodafone do discount with my employer so I was checking their prices out with said discount.
They're offering an extra £350 on trade in for certain devices but the list makes no sense. Samsung's as old as s22, iPhones 13 etc. Pixels? 6 onwards including the A series right up to the 7 Pro.
No discount for a pixel 8. Make it make sense. Surely they'd be better giving you more for a newer phone that they could sell as a refurb?!

I thought the trade in prices in US were excellent this year TBH..$700 for pixel 8 Pro along with $200 Google store credit or $350 store credit for the fold

I'm seeing some good trade in prices at BestBuy as well

That is really good. Maybe it’s just iPhone trade ins that are disappointing. It was only offering like $740 for my 15 PM.

I am not surprised by that at all. Trade in's tend to be the highest within the same brand to keep the customer in the same brand. Apple, Google and Samsung offer the highest trade in value for their products if you are buying another one of theirs.

It just makes sense to encourage brand loyalty.

I think that is an exynos/tensor issue, not an android issue
This is what's ultimately holding me back now from trading in my S24+. Heck of a deal at BB but I'm not confident that the scrolling issues will be fixed, at least not until Android 15. Not buying something hoping that issues will be resolved later.

At least that's my mindset today 😅. We'll see how long that lasts.

What’s really weird is that the 14 PM gives $1,099 back but the 15 PM gives only $750 lol

It's possible that there are now more 15PM owners vs 14PM. What could happen then is a 15PM owner trades out for free, then flips their Pixel out for the 16PM probably for free again in a couple of months. I'd also hedge that many used their 14PM to trade up to the 15PM.
