wonder if we need to add the pixel fold pro to this subject line? rumours still appear to be coming on that the next gen pixel fold will have the pro name and be released along side the pixel 9, pixel 9 pro and pixel 9 pro XL.

if the pixel fold pro does happen and the camera hardware is the same as the other pixel 9 pro XL this will replace my pixel 8 pro

Updated the thread title mate.

Sure wish Google allowed custom icon packs in the stock Pixel launcher. Why haven't they allowed yet, or is it coming in Android 15?

I sold my MacBoo Pro and I am now using the Surface Laptop 7 instead (I love it). At this point, I’m just thinking of finally ditching Apple and only using Android (Pixel 9 Pro most likely). I’ve only ever used Android in tandem with an iPhone.

The maxed version of Gemini Nano will be exclusive to Pixel 9 due to hardware requirements.
Really now? lol.

hardware is soo far behind the competition in terms of chip-set capabilities.

"full version of Gemini Nano will be exclusive to the Pixel 9 due to software+brand restrictions" there fixed that for you.

An announcement in August and a release that could be around the same time as iPhone release in September...

The continuation of iOS vs android software wars...

There isn't a software war because Google is a couple of generations ahead of Apple and iOS.

It would be nice with a smaller phone. I hope the battery life will be good enough on the 9 Pro.

Not sure why you think that considering the number of things Google has added that iOS already has. They are both so close now. Sure there are things Google/Android does better but that can also be said about iOS. Just pick what you prefer and move on. These silly Google is better/iOS is better arguments are not valid anymore. Fanboyism is outdated and childish.

Likely skipping the Pixel 9 series, based on rumors about the Pixel 10 that could be the year of Pixel domination, finally. I've been waiting for a Pixel to rule them all since the Pixel 4 which is still my favorite. Alongside the latest Galaxy S and iPhone, we should have three very solid flagship options with great AI features.

really hope the pixel 9 pro fold will deliver otherwise may just get the vivo fold 3 pro for far cheaper

the Pixel 10 series should also have TSMC produced Tensor G5

with the - at least in current Android preview included display out support - and rumblings about Google working on a DeX like desktop mode - exciting times indeed.

Also awesome that with the 9 series the ystart to offer pro specs in "normal" size.
