I appreciate the advice from both of you. I’m still undecided if I will fully swap from Apple to android, but if I do, luckily it won’t be as hard for me because I’m not as far in the ecosystem as tbay. I don’t own a Mac or an iPad, I just have my AWU and AirPods Pro.

I use my AirPods Pro with my Pixel 9/S24U more than I use my Pixel Buds Pro due to much comfier fit.
I’m glad I won’t have to give those things up, I use those on the daily!
Sold my Xiaomi 14 last week and shipped out my S24+ to Best Buy on the Pixel 9XL trade in this morning, so I'm Pixel only. Loving this phone. I had a long conversation yesterday with Gemini Live about dog food and ingredients and behaviors, really handy.
The best was at a BBQ yesterday with 12 people the host was about to get his tripod to take a group photo and I said "hold my beer" with phone in hand (first time I've actually applied the phrase to something in real time 🤣). I used 'Add Me' for the first time and it worked perfectly. Ultimate flex move yesterday having 11 other people all blown away at once by the AI, they'd never seen anything remotely close to it.

According to this article, Google is trying to keep the price of the 9a the same or perhaps even lower than last year. I have had NO issues with the P8 modem.

I just did a BIG Mac upgrade and my loose funds are a bit more tight than I would like. If I do this, it may be a delayed purchase. Again, still happy with the 8 Pro, just would like to downsize in physical size, but upgrade storage.
Now that Lume Touch (Video editing) is in good form on the Pixel, I use it a ton for editing video from my Canon Mirrorless. The base storage is too dang small.
Yeah I almost took the plunge when the store credit was live, but there really isn't anything I want / need from that store. I still have a Home Mini from a previous pixel bonus, my pixel watch 2 is great, and my pixel buds are still rocking.

I have a question for Fold users/buyers, it applies to pretty much anyone but obviously this is the Pixel thread, so I’ll ask it regarding the Pixel Fold phones.
When it comes to the phone folding, does it not worry you that it could break in half? and also over time, does that crease/screen become more and more unstable?
I’m asking as someone who has never owned or used a folding phone (outside of a phone store here in the UK). The price of them is pretty high, £1700 ish for the Pixel Fold.

I believe someone who owns a Fold and uses it everyday commented on this forum to say, it has held up quite well.
Every foldable that I had I got the Samsung Care+ or the Google plan, all my phones look the same the day that I turned them in from the first day. I only get insurance because I don't want to take any chances. I use the phone like all my phones with care but not babied. Crease was the same no issues.
For me when I open Reddit it stutters a bit when scrolling. Once I open a thread and all the comments load everything is very smooth. Wasn't an issue on S24+ or Xiaomi 14 that I had before. But I can say that the 9 Pro XL is much smoother than the 8 Pro was.
I got nothing to compare it to. I use one phone and I have the P8. Works fine for me. To my eyes anyway. I'm not picky so to me a slight stutter isn't an issue but to me it runs pretty smooth and opens fast.
I have had an original Pixel Fold since last August and it doesn’t feel delicate in any way…very sturdy, in fact. The folding mechanism is pretty robust and it feels like it would take a lot of effort to try to bend it past its natural flex point.
The crease is certainly visible but mine doesn’t feel or look like it’s gotten any more pronounced or worn over time.
That being said, I opted for Google’s protection plan on both it and my soon to arrive Pixel 9 Pro Fold. But I also always get it on my iPhones which are generally much less vulnerable than a folding phone. I like to go case-less and having the peace of mind of knowing an accidental damage repair will be MUCH cheaper is worth it for me. Had some water damage in my cameras on my 15 Pro Max thanks to some kayaking in the Med off coast of Italy and had phone replacement waiting for me when I got home for only $99 thanks to Apple express replacement option. I want to use my new PP9F ’naked’ as well so extra protection was a must have.
