When ordering from the Google store direct - do they do refunds within 14 days even if you just don't like the device?
I know US is probably different.

Reading the terms on the website it does look like you can order and return within 14 days (even if not faulty) but not sure. Just wondering whether to give it a go and if I didn't like it, return it.
I think I'd go for an XL 3a just for that bigger battery and see how it treated me.

Argos are doing the same deal as Google though and offering the free Home Hub so could collect it tomorrow if I ordered from them. For peace of mind might be better me going through Google.

Meh, I'm kind of thinking on one. Might be a fun device to experiment with a bit more like shoving a clean AOSP rom on it. I'd rather experiment like the ol days of less expensive devices especially since I soft bricked my XL 2 a while back

Google started charging a re-stocking fee ($35) last year for US customers at least.

Wowzers - that's crazy!
But I guess it's like a $35 rental period ha - which I'd be ok with in the UK if that was the standard across all stores.

FYI if you have TMobile you can get one of these for $100. They are offering $400 trade in on pixel 1 which goes for $90-100 on eBay. Just ordered one.

This will replace my 6t as a backup phone.

Going to get the small purple for the gym/travel. Stoked to have the pixel camera.

Knowing my luck I'd order an eBay Pixel and the promo would end by the time I get it. Or it would be damaged or something.

Edit: Just bought one off eBay in "good" condition to arrive next Monday the 13th. I'll hope for the best and that this deal is still on by then.

Sake. I caved.

Pixel 3a (small) in black with free Google Home Hub.

A vid I watched on YouTube swayed me. A reviewer who had been using it for 5 or so days said the battery was giving more SoT on the 3a and the screen / device was ever so slightly larger which is only a good thing.

I can't believe how good a deal it is. Will be picking up tomorrow.

You should be fine, by the time you get the trade in package from Google, you will likely have the Pixel. I read through my trade in email, it didn’t say how quickly I need to return once I receive their package. But, I assume it’s 14-30 days or something like that.

I can't even initiate the trade in until I have the IMEI though. :(

Ah! When I did it through google, they didn’t ask for it. I bet the eBay seller can provide.

Yeah through T-Mobile they ask. I've sent an email to the seller but I'm not optimistic since he's sold like 100 of these Pixels in the last 24 hours lol

I am not TOO worried since Monday is only 5 days away.

I found the battery life on the 3a dreadful but not fair to the device coming from an XS Max. I reached 15% just now after some social media, 2 hours worth of podcasts, and thats about it.

I am going to keep it up until day 13 of the BB return period to really put it through the ringer before deciding to return for a 3XLa, see if any other Pixel 3XL deals come along, or just return it all and wait for the Pixel 4 since TMobile will get it now.

Really enjoying the "fresh" perspective of the OS though where everything is so....different? The way notifications come in, the gestures which i enjoy, the app drawer, the camera is amazing. Really fun to mix it up from a diehard iOS person.

I REALLY miss my watch though.

The battery life for the first few days On a new android device is always pretty dreadful. I’d expect it to get better over the next week.

Good to know, thanks for that. I will give it the full 13 days before the final day to return to Best Buy possibly. I say that now but I may go tonight and just trade up to the XL version as my hands feel cramped texting on the stock keyboard and its much less wide then the XS Max.

Thought i wanted a smaller phone....I was wrong lol

Yeah I ordered the smaller one to fart around with and use on the days I want to not feel like I have a brick in my pocket.

Anyone getting iPhone 5c vibes? First thing that came to mind
IPhone 5c was actually a "flagship" , ie it's just last year's flagship chipset in a cheaper shell. Pixel 3a is not a flagship since it uses an actual mid range chipset instead of last year's flagship chipset.

If Google used the same Pixel 3 internals in a different shell, that would be more like the iPhone 5c

I feel like you can pretty easily get by with a mid-range chip these days. We will see how it is vs the 855 in my s10+.

Really torn whether to get the 3e or 3e+.

If I like it enough I may sell off my s10+, since I was gonna get the note 10 later this year anyway

Really would miss that wide angle camera though. It is a really useful feature that no pixel mojo can solve.

I think this model is competing with 2019 A series of samsung
