1984, is that you?
"When there is no price for the product, you are the product." I can't believe this is getting so much positive buzz.
If they give me one of these things free I'd happily be the product!

Those ad jokes are getting old fast, it's not even original humour and Google would never implement ads like that just like they haven't put ads all over Android.
It's foolish to confuse capability with intentions. They certainly have the capability, and right now as I write this they're in trouble for polluting search results with paid placement. Intentions can go from good to neutral to bad in the wink of an eye.
I find it quite telling that Google is now the butt of many jokes now. They've lost their position of trust for many people.
Everything big and well known is the butt of jokes. I certainly trust Google a lot more than Facebook.
Just because you trust them doesn't make them trustworthy.
I noted that you didn't address my point about confusing capabilities with intentions.
Oh well, suit yourself. But don't try to tell me that the world's biggest data miner will always be OK with not doing anything with that data stash. Logic tells us the exact opposite.
I don't get what your "point" was meant to be.
That small statement speaks volumes.
If you don't understand that concept, well, have a nice day.

Most of the Android apps I use have ads plastered all over them, there's no reason to suppose these glasses will be any different.
I just wonder how long it will be before someone is killed wandering around blindly using these things. As if being "powered" by Google isn't bad enough, the safety implications are quite obvious.
Would these glasses run on iOS or OS X?
Cool concept, but they lost me from a practical standpoint when the voice recognition software was able to pick up Monsieur Gayno with no problem.
