yes it will use your minutes. for now, i think the only way to save money using GV is if you have the fav 5 with tmobile or the new alist with att, wheere you can progam one of your numbers to your gv number...then its free.

i dont have that...i just use my gv to mess with my friends. and look cool

I guess the only bonus is getting your own number, unlimited SMS and cheap international calls. None of which I need. Damn. I felt so lucky to get my invite one day after requesting it.

If both of you feel that way then you should of never signed up for the service. The service is much more then you think and for business professionals it is fantastic. I love my Google Voice number and GV Mobile and never "prank" my friends with it.
