I know some of yall are salty......if it didn't happen to you, you guys are quick to say "you better return it......karma this....karma that...." I wonder if it would of happened to one of yall, would you still be saying that?

I'm not saying I condone situations like this. However, don't act like your a saint:D

In most circumstances I try to act like I would when my kids are watching me.

It sounds to me like his uncle bought him an iPad, nothing fishy about it.

It's like when you were younger and people would "pull quarters from your ear." They didn't literally pull a quarter from your ear, it was a funny joke that adults used.

Same with this, I think. Hey look what I found. Kind of like the Red Ryder on A Christmas Story.

If the iPad had to be activated with iTunes, then it was new. If not, then hmmm...

The people at the Apple Store ask if you would like them to plug it into iTunes so that it's good to go.

If there is no personal data, no email accounts, web history, downloaded apps, etc. then I believe his uncle must bought it, because I started entering my info within two minutes of unboxing. Honestly, who unboxes their iPad, doesn't do anything with it, just slides it in a Apple case and abandons it?

That said, if there were any signs of prior ownership, I would attempt to contact them.

Congrats on your new iPad.

Awesome dude, you're uncle is a legend! :D Oh and a big LOL at the jealous karma people hahahaha.

I'm going to buy my nephew an iPad as soon as he is old enough to use it without breaking it. I taught him how to play a couple of games on my iPhone 3GS a few weeks ago and he was doing very well for a 3 year old. These were problem solving games which required pattern recognition and cognitive skills, so I am impressed with him.

I don't consider this spoiling if it helps build his skills and intelligence. When I was a kid, my dad said no to me on a lot of things, but never on tech, and it definitely gave me an edge over others in school.

My nephew is showing these traits too. He loves to go to school. He reads a lot, he can do problem solving games on the iPhone. Very smart 3 year old. If he keeps being so good, he'll definitely get an iPad for his fourth birthday.
