iPad mini Got my new ipad mini 5 today...

OP is also out of his return period now, unless he has an extended one via buying from somewhere other than Apple.
It’s fair to say that some members have returned faulty devices, been disappointed or just found that the Mini 5 did not fit into their setup as they had thought it might. There are many more happy customers.
Apple must have done their research in offering the 14 day period, as most places won’t accept a device back once it has been turned on, unless faulty. Some units to refurb + more sales must work for them over less sales (some not pulling the trigger on expensive items just in case.)

Agree, the pixel density is actually higher than other iPads. It should be very clear.
The Huawei small pad is around 360 pixels it is the densest small tablet.
The mini 5 is 326 pixels also very dense and clear.
If the mini does not lot clear to read text. It is broken or user needs to have an eye exam.
I say this as I had double cataract surgery when I was 50. I had older tech done meaning 1 eye is set to see 20-20 the other eye is set to see 20-80. My mind blends the two and I see distance great.
I see middle good but close is so so .
So for me to use an iPhone means custom reading glasses.
To use the iPad reading glasses are not that important unless I am tired.
I am guessing poster had a bad iPad or an eye issue if the mini was blurred.
Has to be bad iPad, because I have a iPad mini 2, iPad 4, iPad 5, and iPhone se and they all r and look fine, but the iPad mini 5 did not look right.
Even though it may have higher PPI, the UI/text on the iPad mini is smaller than the larger iPads.
Lol. Take it back? Not gonna happen. I love this thing. It’s my always carry device. Fits perfectly in my cargo pants pocket. I kept my ipad mini 2 for 5 yrs. i don’t see myself upgrading again for awhile. Although, i may be tempted if Apple ever gives the ipad mini the flat edged design of the pros with face ID. That would be cool. However, considering how Apple treats the mini, there is always the chance this will be the last model. So i am glad i got it now...and will use it fully for many years.
I treat my ZTE Axon M as a mini tablet.....works out well for me. The iPad mini should have had a new design and better screen.
For some I guess not. For me this is the only new apple gear worth buying for me.
The ZTE Axon M is a phone that unfolds and is about 6 by 9 or maybe bigger.

So I ordered a iPad mini 5, I've only ever had an iPad Air and i knew i wanted a smaller form factor so waited to see if a new mini would be made.
I would have preferred smaller bezels plus an OLED screen but this is still fine. Waiting for mine to arrive, put up my old iPad Air on ebay. Which has held up, speed wise, battery, screen, bezels etc mine has hardly any wear and tear.

It's really good the image is a lot sharper and brighter than i expected, despite it not being an OLED its pretty fantastic.
