There's something weird with Deezer:

Using it offline, and with no signal, it stops playing when going into a tunnel.

I was really close to buying a Z10 before finally going for an S4. BB10 is an amazing OS but the lack of support and direction the company is going in really put me off. Glad you like your phone though, they really are decent pieces of kit. My local Carphone Warehouse has the Z10 going for under £200 unlocked right now so pretty damn cheap too!

I think it's the best bang-for-the-buck phone out there; especially with the latest 10.2.1 leak. The phone pretty much rocks now.

Anything without a memory card slot or a removable battery is disqualified, so you might still be right.

Deezer: It seems you cannot download on one device while you're playing on another.

No, it just stopped downloading. I don't know if there's a maximum offline track limit. It is 3333 in Spotify.

Looks nice, but the lack of apps kills it for me.

It already has an Android 4.2.2 runtime and greatly improved compatibility in the upcoming release.

There are many international deals from Electronic Arts, Gameloft, etc these days in BlackBerry World.

Some new cool Atari, Sega, and Namco re-releases are in the store, too.

BB10 is really lacking the ability to move apps to the memory card.

I installed a few games, and I will soon fill the internal 16GB.

Music is already in the card. I have 55GB free there.

BTW, I think exFAT is still not supported.

Sounds like I might have to pick one up at a bargain basement price. I've been meaning to give BB10 a whirl. Can Ubuntu still be dual booted?

The boot loader is locked.

There's a DOS emulator, it seems some people are working on virtualised Linux.

For others, the fact that BB10 (QNX) is POSIX and it has Qt will be enough.

I ran out of space. I cannot buy some apps, and I cannot install a couple that I already bought.

Meanwhile, I have 55 GB free on the memory card.

I really wanted to buy a couple of big games, so I had to uninstall others to be reinstalled at a later date.

I tried two browsers. It seems you cannot paste in JavaScript prompts.

I cannot believe that BB10 has AZERTY and QWERTZ, but not QWERTY variations, specially in the case of Spanish.

fantastic phone

I had enough of my iPhone 4 and I gave up on iPhone 6 , I took the plunge and bought a Z30. I love it. Most of all I love the 5” screen (iPhone 6 4.7” not big enough, 5.5” too big)
Love the hub also... battery life is great... I can finally leave my charger at home, iPhone 4 would last half a day, Z30 more than a day...
On the downside is the lack of apps , you can still sideload most of the androids but I would much prefer blackberry native apps.
Shame this phone is not widely available , go it from blackberry.com but it’s no where to be found in the shops :(
The handset was much cheaper than iPhone 5s so I’m very happy with my purchase ... Maybe if iPhone 7 comes with 5” screen I’ll take a look again...

There's hardly any need to side load now.

Just install the Amazon Appstore and get tons of Android apps from there.

I picked up a Z10 myself while attempting to sell my 32GB iPhone 5c.

I wanted to try something different from Android and iOS alltogether. And BB10 was it. So far, nice hardware and smooth OS. But battery is horrible on the Z10, Z30 is much improved there.

But for $150 I think I'll live, or pick up a second battery.

The lack of native apps is dissapointing, but the ability to install APK's and third party app stores (Amazon, 1Mobile, Snap (Google Play Frontend) helps tremendously. One thing that really lacks is BlackBerry's Maps app. And Google Maps (Android version) is horribly slow like most Android apps on 10.2.1. Bright side is 10.3 is much faster running Android apps, but I don't leak like my friend does, for now.

I think I'll continue to use it until the iPhone 6 comes out and I can see if I'd like it or not. Otherwise, an HTC One M8 sounds like a nice option. Or if a Nexus ever came to Verizon I'd go that route. But Verizon being a CDMA carrier never gets things like the Nexus or OnePlus One. Ah well. Price to pay to have service where we live.

To bad more people don't give poor old BlackBerry a try though. The hub is great!

For the Z10, the battery charger bundle is a must. It is great, and very inexpensive.

Its been 6 months since I switched from Xperia Z1 to Z30. (before that I've had all versions of iPhones)
Don't regret one bit. As a communication device (phone, email and text) this is by far the best device I've had. Hub is fantastic and everything is in once place which i just love..
I have got all my important android apps now so i don't miss anything!!

Other than the camera quality, I just love everything about this phone.

If you're looking for a phone, the Z30 is definitely worth a look.

Phone, email, and text? What is so special about this phone in that department? Text? Lol come on now. Phone? lol come on now. Email?

Majority of phones handle these operations. Some better then others but all get the job done. People use these phrases to loosely now a days. A communication device? All phones are communication devices. Again, what am I missing with all these silly words describing blackberry?

Not even close...
Google play = 1.3 millions apps
Amazon = 240k apps

Amazon missing many of the big name apps, and many other apps are several version behind. Many don't work properly on Blackberry either. The comparison isn't even close.

The Amazon app store is almost as crappy as Blackberry's own app store.
