Seems like the smaller devices handle the animations a lot better. Most of the complaints come from + users, myself included. Annoying considering I paid an extra $150 for it.

Is it better on 6S than 10.3.3? Is there any lag or stuttering?
Not really. It seems to run as it should. It’s smooth and I think if anything Apple will work on any bugs in it if there are problems. I think the cpu in the 6s is able to run it good. I had an iPhone 7 for a few days during iOS 10 and did notice the a10 chip is noticeably faster but the a9 seems to keep up still.

I’m not a power user, but I updated to iOS 11 and my phone is really noticeably faster in many ways. There are some lags in certain apps, but for my use it’s a screaming fast update. This comes with only one real caveat... battery life is cut short quite a bit. But I still make it through a day on one charge, so all is good. Think I’ll go buy that iPhone 8 this weekend...

Its still fast for many reasons:

IOS 5 on 4s is just like iOS 9 on 6S (Extremely fast)
iOS 6 on 4s is just like iOS 10 on 6S (Very Fast)
iOS 7 on 4S is just like iOS 11 on 6S (Fast sometimes, But slow in some areas, slightly battery drain}
iOS 8 on 4S is just like iOS 12 on 6S (very Slow, App crashing sometimes, Moderate battery drain
iOS 9 on 4S is just like iOS 13 on 6S ( Extremely slow, App crashing on heavy apps, Huge battery drain)

My money is about iOS 13 might be the first iOS to have 2 Gb ram Only with A9 Processor. meaning no A8/A8X is supported even the iPad Air 2 or mini 4 cuz if they did the iPad 3 (a5X) just like iPad 4 and iPhone 5/5S with doubled the ram of A5 should have gotten the iOS 10. But unfortunately it isn't.

Considering iOS12 is suppose to concentrate on performance improvements and optimization with minimal new features I'd say the 6S will perform the same if not better than iOS11..

I think iOS 10 on 6S was faster than iOS 9.

My SE is okay on iOS 11, but a little worse than iOS 10. There is sometimes a lag when opening the control center, especially after closing a game. Pinch to zoom is more fluid, but the mail app is a little bit lagging while scrolling.
