Doesn't WD support their product at all? Did you happen to get any kind of resolution out of it?

i usually don't buy all in one enclosures, i'd prefer to buy a separate external enclosure and put my own internal drives in it

i just had a bad experience with a passport wd drive and i'll never go back

this was a couple of years ago

and no, i was very busy at the time with some family issues and travel and after it failed i just said screw it

i still have it, somewhere, but it had issues seizing up within the first 2 weeks that i owned it

no big deal at this point, but I just prefer to know that i can pull the drive and put a new one in

plus, with my MacPro, I've had a habit of rotating drives in it, so it just makes the whole thing easier for me

just my 2 cents

just in case this is helping anyone, another savings alert

$89.99 for WD Green 1TB drives (internal) on Newegg under the daily deals!

:)

great drives

Just grabbed two of those guys at $89.99. It might date me a little, but I remember my first 286SX intel PC had a 20 MB hard drive and that was quite large. I always figured that once we hit 100MB, there would be no reason to make them any larger. What would you store on that much space? :D
