Can you do this with the app? I read a review on Itunes that someone was saying they were surfing the net and stuff while listening. I was listening to Stern and pressed the main button and it kicked me off...

let me know

On a non-jb phone, the OS doesn't support background apps - not even in 3.0.
You can only use PTR in the background on a jailbroken phone with Backgrounder installed. On the upside, I did observe that PTR continues to stream if the phone goes to sleep.

I have tried on wifi, edge, and 3g it does the same on all. is there some special way to log in with this app.

Also, the reviewer might be referring to the fact that pocket tunes has a webbrowser built in, so you can do web surfing within the program.

Sweet. I got it working with sirius. I can stream music through the doc connector into my car now while I'm driving. It streams pretty well over 3G even at 128K quality. You can also use this to stream into your stereo at home if you have a doc connected to your home stereo or have an iHome or something similar

Just a few tips: Login with your computer first to make sure you have a valid sirius login and subscription. It's easier to work this out on your computer. Also if you need to call sirius and they say you have free streaming, that is only 32K which is only good for talk. You'll need to add the $3 internet streaming service most likely to get 128K streaming. It's best to sort this out before setting up the app. The app kept kicking me out of the music player when I tried to select the premium button. Then I realized I had to upgrade my subscription.

I am having some issues with it. I log in using the browser and it ALWAYS kicks me out.. i have to log in using the browser, THEN i have to go the the native player and buffer it there as well.. and still it will randomly kick me out.. and all the while i am on WiFi with no loss in connection.

I guess this is as good as any other player though. i mean, a native player would likely STILL mean that you have to pay more monthly, so why not just pay the internet rate if you already have a subscription

I love this app!!:D Is there a way for the screen to fade out to dark? I think when the screen stays on, it will run out battery faster

To the guy who said he was logged into both his computer AND the pocket player from the same account..

I'd love to know how you did this.. I have had it lag a little on kicking me off, but i ALWAYS get kicked off of the first one tht was logged in. This is how the online account has always worked.

Just curious if you logged into one before the other or SOMETHING odd
