Griffin Elan Passport - Fantastic!!

While i dont regret i got the griffin elan passport, i got to admit i miss the stand, so i can set it down while im on the plane (i fly alot) so thats a feature i miss, gf is getting this for a gift in june.
i think this has all the feature the elan misses.

While I have a good history with Sena cases, their screenshots for that case are ghastly. Overexposed or underexposed, not very useful. Show us pictures with an iPad in it!
I always envisioned something like that in my head in terms of carrying it around, in a portfolio case. Easy to pop into a brief case or carry into a meeting.
I do think something with a method to be used as a stand with it, would make it perfect.
I am not really worried about the bulkyness of it. To me that is much less of an issue compared to something like the phone. That is the size of item people carry around all day with them in terms of going to a meeting and such.

So I just got this case and love it. My only complaint is that when I have it on the microphone and headphone jack are covered, along with the lock toggle button kinda restricted as well.
I'm surely not the only one that's experienced this?

The way the Griffin holds the iPad in place is awful. Those corners don't look secure or safe at all.
Wait for the Quirky Cloak to be released. The hinge, design and texture look beautiful. So much in fact I don't mind about paying more for the international shipping as a UK customer.

just got my griffin elan passport, and after seeing the flimsy apple case and the bulky incase book jacket, i orderd this one, arived today, and its fantastick. really great quality! looks amazing

Could you possibly post a more photographs, perhaps showing different angles, and at least one showing the case open with the iPad inside?

I have one and it's perfectly fine.
There will be quite a few with this design and they all will be fine (and 'safe')

Did u buy from griffin or in a store? I can't find any in stock online. Any other sleeves or envelopes that you looked at? I feel that covering the iPad with a case hides the beauty of it. Sleeves are best.
So like I mentioned before I have the Belkin Swell case in black on my iPad too. So when I have the Griffin Elan Passport on it feels super snug...
...now, I just took off the belkin swell case and then out the ipad Alone in the élan passport and it still feels pretty snug. I don't feel the ipad could slip out of the élan case. I really do like it. The headphone jack is indeed visible without my belkin swell case...
...just last night I took the iPad inside of the Griffin Elan Passport to my friends house and used it with it on...and quite honestly it's not the greatest to hold a small piece of cow when I'm browsing online.
I think the griffin élan passport will most likely just be my carrying case when taking it with me out of the house, though for Actual web browsing or whatever I think I'll just take it out of the élan passport. I huts hope the 4 little straps that hike the iPad don't wear out over time as I take my iPad both in and out daily.

That's the case I want, but what sucks is it doesn't act as a stand/easel. I talked with an Apple rep and while making fun of the apple case, he actually said it looks cheesy until you actually put the Ipad in the case. He said it works really well.

I haven't seen anyone else with any of these 2, though have to admit I absolutely love mine.
The first 2 days of owning an iPad I was walking around with an InCase Neoprene netbook sleeve and after those 2 days got the Elan Passport to which i've received numerous compliments from the people that noticed me with both carrying cases. Also, I feel the Elan Passport would protect the iPad better than the InCase; and it double as a stand which is a plus.
If I'm in the car or somewhere for not that long i'll use the iPad in the Elan Passport, but if I'm stationing myself for an hour of web browsing i'll take it out and just hold the iPad in my hands.

The sleeve one looks good too; though it obviously looks like youre carrying an iPad or small netbook. With the Elan Passport, friends have inquired as to why i'm carrying around a planner or notebook.
