My Griffin stand arrived today and I really like it. It is heavy and does what it is supposed to do, even if it is sort of phallic looking! LOL

It is very nicely designed and manufactured. Here are some pics:

The design of this thing is just terrible. From cable management if you have an iPhone attached, to the watch strap hanging over the iPhone. Just doesn't look very well thought out especially for two devices.

I'll pass.

Well, it didn't do very well last night. It was charging fine but I grabbed my iPhone for a while and when I put it back I must have touched the watch and got it off "kilter"... so I woke up this morning and it was at 0 charge.

I don't think this is going to be the stand I stick with. I will use it until I find a more perfect solution and one where it can't appear to be charging when it actually isn't.

Second night... 67% when I woke up. It was charging when I went to sleep, so it must have slipped during the night. I am done with this. And with its phallic design, I am embarrassed to have it on my nightstand. I threw the box away yesterday so now the stand is going in the trash also. What a horrible purchase this was!

I'm sure someone would be willing to try it for a lower price. I'd try the Marketplace here and then try eBay if you don't get any bites.

Thanks... I haven't been here long enough for membership in the MP.. will see if the box is someplace easy to get to in my trash can!!

well, actually you can turn the pedestal 90 degrees and you wouldn't have that problem, the strap hangs to one side. I don't like the cup for the charging magnet, but I just added a coin to the back of it, and now it sits at the perfect height. Lets see if I get any charging issues.

Just curious how the stand has been working for the people that have now had it for a few days. Want to order...just want to see if charging issues have been resolved.

Thanks.

Perhaps you could return it to get your money back which you could put towards a different stand.

What I wanted to hear...I have it on order. Just wanted to make sure on the charging complaints I heard on here. It's fine the way it looks.

Thanks for the updates.

Hope you are half as happy with your :apple: Watch as I've been with mine.
Personally, I've been very impressed with the battery life. Even though I've only had my watch for 6 days; the battery continues to stay strong consistently with 50% remaining before I charge it in the evening. Not only do I use it often throughout the day, I've also used it for workouts/fitness.

Read a new review for the Griffin watch stand over at 9to5 and it mentioned a disc that comes with it to use for the ss charger since its smaller than the plastic charger. This disc is supposed to lift the ss charger higher. I don't remember seeing this so called disc when I opened my package. Did anyone receive this disc?

Hmm, I have both cables (plastic disc and metal) and they both look like the same size to me.

Anyone have an issue with a 38mm on the watch stand? I have a 42mm and it works fine, but my wife's 38mm has only be charging to 98%. I took the charger out of the stand last night and she got to 100%. I swapped stands, cause I have one too, and no difference. Any ideas? I sent them an email requesting a refund.

I have the 38mm and initially I felt that the charging disc was too receded and the weight of the 38mm was not enough to make good contact with the magnet. My husband also has a 42mm. I didn't wait to see if his had a problem. I added a thin plastic button under the charging disc to raise it so that it is flush with the stand. No problems since then with either of them. I get to 100% every night with my 38mm.

The cable management of the stand is brilliant. Looks and weight are fine.

But not a good choice for heavier bands (Milanese, Link). If you position the watch horizontally as shown in pictures the watch slips off the magnet and falls. if you position it vertically it will stay put. However since the bands do not open it looks a bit ugly.

So I'd look elsewhere if you have a heavier watch.
