The app is available now, see below

Hi,

this is a preview of my new app Group Email! with attachments and templates.
It's a "sister" app of my other app Group Text! that works on SMS, I think that the attachment handling is something "unique" at the moment.

Any comment is greatly appreciated.

YouTube video :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAIaKiPe9eo (the video says the app is available but it's in review queue now, I hope it will be available in 5 days).

Full app description :

With Group Email! you can send email to groups, to handpicked set of contacts or to custom distribution lists. You can optionally attach photos, videos, documents, your current location information with map and address, audio clips, pasteboard content and contacts information.
And if you send the same email text frequently, you can create a template and use it for save typing.

Features:
- easy and quick interface
- use address book groups;
- handpick set of contacts from address book
- create distribution lists from address book or manually entering recipients information
- attachments (see below)
- choose the mode (To,Cc, Bcc) for each recipient
- create email text templates
- supports iPhone 4 retina display
- supports multitasking on iOS4

Supported Attachments :
- Photos and Videos from your iPhone library
- In-App Camera Still Shot and Video Shot (video requires iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4)
- In-App Audio Clips Recording
- Current Location with Google Map image and reverse geocoded address.
- Documents (iOS4 required on the iPhone, iOS3.2 on the iPad)
- Pasteboard content
- Single or Multiple contact information in vCard and/or text format

Documents can be uploaded to the app using iTunes and USB connection -or- saving attachments from email or other applications that supports the new iOS4 document exchange features. Once uploaded documents stay there and can be used every time you need them.

Note: the number and dimension of attachments the app can handle depends on your device and free memory. Newer devices will handle more and bigger attachments than older devices.

Very nice app... This has a lot of great features for power-users which the regular apple mail app lacks.

Hey dude.

Loving the idea of the app. I have been looking for something like this.

Can you import address lists from a csv file or txt file? That would be a def sell for me.

Cheers

Dean

What's the App going to be priced at?

Any chance you'll be throwing any promo codes on here?

App looks great and it's one of the better/best demo and promo videos I've seen

The version in review uses the iPhone address book but I think I could add csv import easily with the first upgrade :p
Thank you for your suggestion.

Yes please. I have a few friends sites that collect email address's like news letters. Normally use a mass mailer but I could use this instead which is cool as I don't even need to turn on my laptop or Mac.

Def add the import function and I'm buying it

Cheers
Dean

Looks very full featured! Gotta agree that the promo vid was good.

Also, the icon looks great!

@cuevrojamez, @Gokunama: Thanks for your comments.

I'm very proud of this app :p

The video was recorded in the dark with a Canon HF10 HD Cam, edited on iMovie and sound comes from Logic Express. The app is running on my iPhone4.

The app is available now on the App Store ! :D

Any comment, suggestion is appreciated.
While the app has been carefully tested, if you try the app and found an issue please contact me.

Just installed your app and it works perfectly. I love that it can access the groups in the iPhone address book that I have synced over from OS X (using MobileMe). I did not notice until after purchase that you can take a photo within the app. Nice touch! Much faster than going to camera app and taking photo then jumping back to another app to send the photo.

I left you a review in iTunes.

Thank you :)

If you have any suggestion for improving the app I'm here to hear them.

Planned additions to version 1.1 are
- change the black 'x' square on recipient selection with a '-' or something that looks like less "dangerous"
- importing recipients from csv file

very cool app!

Just bought it and like it....

is there any chance in the world that you could incorporate this into the mail app or, incorporate mail inboxes into your app? So say we could reply to a mail and attach an article to that reply as well...it would completely change the world of emailing on an iPhone as we know it!

it's a mountain to ask but i am just curious of the possibility....

Thank you :) I'm very proud of this app and was bored to see it lost in the AppStore where potential user can't find it. Now it's a bit more visible (but still not as I expected). Probably there are few users interested in sending attachments in emails :(

Since I can't modify Apple apps the only thing I could do is to add mail inboxes to my app. Unfortunately this is not easy to do and you'll have to enter all your accounts info in my app too and this is something users usually don't like.
I'm also not sure that Apple will approve such an app since it duplicates their own app functionality.

Anyway you can still reply or forward using copy-paste. It's not optimal but can do the job.

Thank you !

Thanx for the reply! Oh well I shall use it whenever I need to mass email send!!!

One thin I notice is that, after I selected my recipients and click done, if I wanted to modify the recipient list by removing and/or adding emails, I could not do so because clicking the recipient button would reset all the previous selections. It might frustrate users when they want to modify their list and had to redo it all over again!

Other than that, I like it, especially able to send more than 4 photos!!!!

It's good to send to single recipients too!

This is something I've already changed in the "sister" app Group Text! and is a planned feature of Group Email! next upgrade.

The new version has been sent to Apple.
It's now an universal app and will run on the iPad in native mode.
It can import/export lists of recipients from/to csv files and has a few other minor changes.

Here's how it looks like on the iPad.
