Yeah, I got the same results from dual 680s as a Titan and the 780ti in my z820 is just a bit faster, but all 3 really comparable in real world usage, in regards to Premiere and AE. If you were using something like Resolve or Octane I might be concerned but, yeah, a regular 780 with lower power requirements seems like the sweet spot.

Any plain 780 or the ones MVC sells? I see they're like over $1000!

How about one with 3 or 4GB of memory? Maverick should see it no issues, right?

Hello. I am interested in an Nvidia GTX 780 for my Mac Pro 3,1. I see that MacVidCards said on eBay that his version is supported but not recommended? Why not recommended?

Could anyone confirm that when running in Boot Camp, this card supports the Nvidia Shield? That is a main reason I want it.

Thanks flowrider. That explains why I couldn't find one flashed by MacVidCards for sale on eBay. I'm glad you pointed that out as I had felt confident from this thread and was about to buy one!

To MacVidCards

I recently purchased a GTX titan. This thing isn't modded and I still want to use it on my Mac Pro 2009. My titan is lying on the floor and I want to use it badly for my games. I can't waste 1000$ anyway. So in any way, is i possible to run a gtx titan on osx mavericks with an external psu? Please Reply!

I want to to use it on 10.9.. possible?

Yes, please do some reading. Note the top sticky thread with word "nvidia" in the title.

Hi, Just bought a GTX 770 for my MAC pro 3.1 with El capitan. But this is not working. I plug two 6pin power connector on it. I have installed Cuda and last driver but still not working. I saw in About this Mac that the computer see the card as an Nvidia Chip model 128mb. But this is 4gb EVGA GTX 770. How can I make it work? Thank you

Is it a vanilla PC card or a flashed card from MacVidCards? Only the flashed cards support 2 x 6 pin power, PC cards must have one 8 pin power cable and one 6 pin cable connected. This is not optional.
