hint: its not a photoshopped image, there are no layers. the photo is of a foreground image, with the graveyard as the background.

Nah, they've lived there more than a year and never once said a word to me even when we've walked out the house together in the morning and I've said 'Good morning' never even replied! We get to hear all their arguments however as our place is a semi and they yell at each other so much you can actual follow the argument, a while ago they were going to take a family holiday and it all kicked off 'cause he suggested the wife drove the family car down through France with the kids and he'd meet them there on his motorcycle. The only one we never hear is the dog!
 
are you taking the photo from quite a bit above? i.e. a hot air balloon?

i can only see one thing presently which was touched on before, however i dont know what the limits are of what i'm allowed to say! :D
 
Some sort of pump handle? At first I had thought it were one of those flowers that has the big thingy sticking out of the center but realized that it couldn't be because of the color and because you said the item is hard to the touch.

My other guess is....an "anatomically correct" piece of statuary either on someone's gravesite or as part of the graveyard's overall decor. Problem with that is that the orientation the way you initially presented it is probably not right for such an image.

ETA: Oh, I know! A scarecrow! ? The part we see in the photo is a stick or some other object meant to be an "arm," and it is sticking out of a t-shirt sleeve. Yes?? <Answering my own question after further study: no. Scratch that idea!>

Back to study this thing again....

Um.... how's about a finger? Is it a finger? Pointing at something?
 
are there any more clues coming our way?

and also i feel the need to ask something that hasnt already been asked....whats that point in this? though i must say its quite fun! :D

Alright time to "come clean". Here is the unblurred original photograph:

a tree trunk, a knot in said tree trunk, a piece of bark stuck in said knot and a pine cone as the finishing touch.

Yea we want more! But even with no blur that looks sooo wrong!
 
I will have a new one for tomorrow. I am no longer at work, so my "Free Time" is limited.

Sounds odd, but I have more free time AT work, than at home.

Aside from that, then, those who commented that this suggested something "anatomically correct" were actually pretty close to the mark!
