iPhone [Guide] Evasi0n Weather App fix

Wow I wasn't expecting 4 pages of apps to disappear by doing this :eek: ... they are slowly reappearing but jeez that was an unpleasant surprise. Anyway, disabling appsync in springtomize and following the OP's instructions seems to have worked for me. Thanks, OP!
 
Hi there, I followed the instructions fully, and yes the Weather app is working perfectly now, and yes a lot of icons disappeared. I was just wondering, everyone says their icons are coming back slowly...how long did/does it take for them to come back? I'm just wondering because its been about 45min to 1hr and none have come back...I restarted/respringed a few times, didn't seem to help, and that file com.apple.LaunchServices... is still missing(hasn't recreated itself like I think it was supposed to).
Is this normal and I should wait longer? Or did something screw up and I need to take further steps?
Hopefully someone's still following this thread heh.

He means for the fix for the weather app. You can restore your icons by going to settings -> general -> reset -> reset home layout

You'll have to organize your icons but at least you'll have them back
 
Worked great for me, thanks.

1. Remove Appsync
2. Navigate to \private\var\mobile\Library\Caches
3. Remove these 2 files
---- com.apple.mobile.installation.plist
---- com.apple.LaunchServices-045.csstore
4. Reboot
5. Reinstall Appsync

I didnt read through this whole thread (sorry) but I think in order to get the icons back you just delete the IconState.plist file. There's a secondary file with it that you don't need to delete but you can if you want. Just to be safe, back it up first by adding a 1 to the file name. But I'm almost positive this will get all your icons back.

Anyone else wanna chime in just in case I'm wrong? Thanks!

Edit: Just saw someone else recommended to reset home layout. That should work too I think.

Once you are jailbroken, the device reads the IconSupportState.plist file, not the IconState.plist
