Update!

Ok guys. Well, after loading xp onto bootcamp it seems as though the game does work much much better with butt fugly windows:rolleyes:

Oh well, at least I know I will only have to look at that ugly desktop for a few seconds until I launch the games I want to play. It seems like gaming is the only usefull thing pc's have to offer:p

Thanks for keeping us updated. So the Windoze version works much better? Not surprising since most of the Mac ports have been less than successful, however is it worth purchasing the PC version? How much lag is there? Do you have to play at near minimal settings (low res, crowd off etc) in order to acceptably play it?

well, my version is windows and mac but it does run much much better in windows xp for whatever reason. I can now play on expert level with normal settings and there is really no lag compared to on leopard where I get a lot of lag and can't really play on expert at all.

Anyone try it on Tiger and get better results than leopard?

Same problem

I have a mac book 10.4.8 and just got guitar hero for mac/pc and it will not work anyone know why it might not work it does say it recomends 10.4.10.

I ran into the same problem and used Pacifist to install it, worked fine... It installed under apps....

TVO

too slow?

I have an iBook G4 with 1.33 ghz and just received Guitar Hero 3 and it says I don't have the right architecture to run the game.

Is my computer too slow? Is there anyway to go from 1.33 to 2.0?

Oh man, I would imagine game play would not be too enjoyable on that machine as it is rough on my machine (see spec). I now use xp through bootcamp and it is playable.

a little slow

I downloaded Pacifist but don't seem to be savvy enough to use it. With the GH3 disk entered, what do I tell Pacifist to open? When I try to have it open the installer it says it is not meant for applications, but for pkg. files. A little help?

GHIII is an intel only game so no matter what you do you won't be able to play it on an ibook.

Dig into the installer and you will find a .pkg file, open this with Pacifist and it will install it, bypassing the checks... (At least the OS version check)

Bumping an old thread instead of making a new one. Does anybody know how well this game runs in bootcamp with the 9400m?

You need this driver!

Has anyone else had the issue of the x-plorer guitar controller not working with Guitar Hero 3 on their Mac?

System Profiler shows it as connected, it works with Frets on Fire, but no response in GH3. Are there drivers to be installed, or should it simply be plug-and-play?

I've found almost nothing online regarding this, and no instructions in the box on setting up the guitar. Anybody have any ideas??

XBDCv106 its a driver for x-plorer Xbox guitar.:D
