While I know worldwide acceptance is the goal, Costco unfortunately isn’t located worldwide, and I still haven’t had the chance to test if a US membership works overseas, as I know they have warehouses in Australia.

Couldn't they offer perks based on location though? I was thinking the Costco Partnership in the US, but if there are worthy partners in Europe or whatever couldn't that be a perk for a specific location?

That could effectively shut out such partnerships with Costco outside the US (read: Canada, Australia, etc.), which could screw those customers even more if they travel to the US, and find out that they can enjoy such partnerships, but can't, because their memberships don't work in the US, or vice versa.

If the memberships work worldwide, then that definitely would be a viable option.

EDIT: 850 locations in 15 countries, and YES, the memberships work worldwide.

Would you? It’s a loser for banks given what it is.

You must have missed my post about looking into the credit union route. Forget the banks, as they are only beholden to their shareholders and not their customers. Credit Unions are under no such obligation, as they are by the members, for the members.

Chase has the assets and tech to take on the Apple Card………But it’s doubtful the card would be as lucrative as it is now
If the card doesn’t have the same perks the customers will not use it as much
