I hope if Apple makes an announcement about MMS on September 9th nobody cheers. Its nothing to be excited about at this point. The best thing the crowd can do is either remain silent or laugh

Why should they do anything? I still fail to see the blaming on Apple on the MMS issue. 3.0.1 fully supports MMS, the carrier file and the carrier themselves need to support it and activate it. The code is there, same as tethering, the code is there but per agreement with ATT it can't be activated unless the customer has the proper plan.

Apple has fulfilled it's obligation for MMS, now it's ATT's turn. Personally I couldn't give 2 *****z if Apple announces it, I'm waiting for ATT to announce it. They're making Apple look bad by not turning MMS on at their end.

For those that say "you won't use it" I say, yah right, my wife and I actually did use it a lot, now that she's got her iPhone we're waiting to use it again, though email is just as easy, MMS would eliminate the need to close Messaging, turn on camera, tap to email, enter address and send, then switch back to messaging.

I don't agree with all of Apple's doings but in regards to MMS they need to be cut some slack, they have coded it, the OS has it built in (which any moron can see since parts of the other world not connected with ATT have it) but their hands and ours are tied by ATT.

If Steve is smart (he is), he will say "Apple enabled MMS on the iPhone several months ago. Users around the world have been enjoying MMS...except for in the United States." (long pause as audience boos and shouts out "F### AT&T!"). Steve then says "Apple has finally convinced AT&T to enable MMS and beginning right about ... NOW! MMS is enabled in the United States." :D :apple:

*Everybody in the audience pulls out their iPhone to send an MMS* :D
And crashes the nearby cell towers...:p
