Because it was a rant. Ya know what a rant is? Anyway lots of people on this forum use betas as non devs, I’ve never experienced any sort of catastrophic problem from betas ever from iOS.

Then one should understand the issues they may face with using a beta software. There's a reason why it's called BETA & one needs to agree to specific terms and conditions.

I wish Apple would add code to betas that automatically brick the device if it was someone’s primary one. The number of forum posts would go way down.

Nothing in the OP suggests they did not understand or agree. This was a "has anyone run into this" post, not an "Apple beta bricked my device whine whine cry" post. So maybe the "OMG its a beta, duh why'd you install that you should know better" comments should be limited to the latter sort of posts.
