@ Fizz-Well I don't think my comp is that bad (Macbook 2.4GHz 2GB RAM GMA X3100) that it can't run Halo...it can run AOE III just fine and it can Halo 2 via Boot Camp Vista Ultimate. The problem lies w/in the "Halo" file inside the "MacOS" folder, but im not that good at programming to be able to figure it out. But I hope ur friend figures it out.

yea sorry i missed out on a lot for the last week i was traviling i just read it all lol..
yes i know your computer is better and should work?!i will try what u posted soon, but in your case.. wow something is ****ed up lol .. because your computer is better than mine but i still can play with a lot of servers mac or pc i dont have the mac computers limit like you, i used to get that like 5 servers before the update, now that i have the update i get more servers but less graphics, i will try your post but i dont know what is wrong with your computer.
something odd tho, my computer has wireless connection, i used to get a lot of servers and it was all good, until i moved the computer a bit further to another room i started getting less servers around 5 servers.. and the problem wasnt solved until i got the update, now i just gota fix the graphics lol..
Well after the update I get the normal amount of servers and I can play w/people on PC, but the graphics suck, so I was just messin around to see what the problem could be. I isolated it, but I dont know how to fix it. The problem for everybody lies w/in the "MacOS" folder in the contents folder of Halo.
ah i did a big mistake, u see when i first had halo it was 2.0.2 version, i had the same graphics problem that i have now so the company sent me the older serversion that worked well, the CD for the 2.0.2 i gave it away as i thought im not gona need it anymore, now i did what u said in the post but i forgot that i dont have that cd so i lost it all, when i go for the update to locate the universal version its not there, there is just the normal halo which i cant locate ... ARGHHHH......... can i update my Halo combat evolved to a universal one?

It looks like **** when I do this. I want to be able to play with everything set to high like I could before the v.2.0.3 update. I also have Halo 1 in Boot Camp and I have no problems whatsoever running it with everything on high. My nick is =TJK=SHADO btw.

I recently purchased halo for my mac second hand from ebay it's the version that says NEW! at the top of it - everything has installed correctly mind you - all good...
obviously as this is an old game I wanted to update it - so I went on the apple site and downloaded the update - 2.0.3. (downloaded fine)
Now the problem is when I go to install the update I tells me to locate the originally application - thats ok - so I go to the orignal location being - Application folder then halo folder and I cant select the halo icon all I can click on is the following: Halo.nib / Map / Movies or Shaders ?
Please help!

Also while I'm at it - I've downloaded the ps3 controller driver from tattiebogle - everything went right - the computer shut down and restarted again automatically.
Then from what I've seen it's as easy as opening halo and in the pop up box selecting the controller and configuring it.
For some strange reason I dont even get the option in the pop up box to select the controller ???

You probably bought the first version, which is v.1.5. The 2.0.3 patch is for the Universal Binary version of the game. You can download it for $5 from macgamesstore if you input the CD Key you got with the original game.

so i have the same halo i was talking about i am just wondering if i can open halo on my power book g4 laptop ?? i have not tried it yet because i lost the cover for the CD and the CD key was on it i dont know how to retrieve the cd key to type it in when i first open the Halo application

What kind of controller are you using?
nah it asks me for the CD key but i dont have it i lost my catalogue and it had the cd key on the back i dont know how to get my number back

Ok, so I know it was a long time ago that I last posted in here, but I'm sick of using the mouse and so I thought I'd check back and see if anyone knew how to fix my problem with the controller...
Last time I was on here I mentioned I wasn't getting the option to configure the controller. Well now I do and It says it all works (configuration complete) yet It doesn't work?
