foldability is like sunroof in a car. nice to have? sure. need it? no. will I even use it? most likely never.
and the crease.....there is no way to solve such problem
The crease on the OnePlus Open is almost imperceptible, visually and touch, once I start to see and use it in person. It's far better then the Z Fold 5 and Pixel Fold that I used for about ṭen days each before returning them. I will likely return the OnePlus Open too because I like the Samsung's multitasking implementation better, and I am waiting for Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. I am hoping the Z Fold 6 will be similar to the OnePlus Open later. The inside screen is absolutely gorgeous and useful.

I'm sitting on my couch watch my streaming movie on a square screen. Hmmmm...
Yeah, that promo picture makes no sense. For movie, the content size is about the same as my S22 Ultra. At least with Amazon Prime Video, the caption is below the content inside of on top of the content. But for everything else like YT videos and sport games, the content is noticeably larger. I can comfortably watch a video or a sports game while using the web or Reddit. Here's a comparison of me using the OnePlus Open versus my S22 Ultra watching the WS highlights:

That‘s not going to happen, because no matter on what axis you fold an iPad Mini, you end up with a stupid form factor. Or you get an iPad Mini with a stupid form factor, like the guy in this article who looks at a square photo on his device.
The stock photo look stupid. This is what I see with my S22 Ultra next to the OnePlus Open. It's pretty amazing to get this large screen for photos, non-wide-movie videos (wide aspect-ratio movies not as much), and especially web browsing.

The difference looks pretty noticeable to me, even with the letterbox bars. It feels like when we went from a 70" TV to an 85" because 77" was not appreciably bigger. Unfolding my Fold 4 is just so much more enjoyable to view, like flying business class compared to economy.

Love the freeze frame!! One of the greatest games I have ever watched.

I think what is even more jarring is that video content is a poor way of showing off the benefits of a squarish form factor, precisely because of all the black bars which simply scream "wasted space". It would probably be better demonstrating how much more screen estate you get with a photo, or reading a pdf document, or even simply video editing. Or at least stream the 4:3 aspect version of Justice League from HBO. :p

Really? What this photo says to me is „Wow, pretty little gain for a doubling in device size“.

Little gain for watching videos. Likely significant gain for other activities like photos, web browsing or gaming.
