I'm still soooo angry. I don't want to wait another 12+ days for another case to come. I've got classes all week and I'm gonna bring the iPad to take notes. I don't have a case for it! Ugh.
Wrong!!!! You got a pink case

Put the pink case on the iPad and take some pictures so we can see the quality and what it looks like beside being pink.
I'm not opening the case. I'm keeping it in the shipping box so if they try to pull some shady stuff on me, I won't fall for it.
On behalf of the HardCandy Cases team I am very sorry for the mix-up with your case shipment. We have just been notified by our warehouse of this problem and had a new case shipped out to you yesterday in the correct color. If you wish to keep the Pink case you were sent please do so. If not, email me back and I will be glad to make you a prepaid return label.
Again, I apologize for the confusion and hope you enjoy your case.
I am not sure of they are going to charge you for the pink case or not. Anyways, if you decide to keep it, we demand a review with photos. If you decide to return it, we will wait for the black skin review.![]()
Nice! Is it grippy enough?? I saw somewhere that you can take the front cover and snap it to the back when using the iPad...can't wait till the right color gets to me on Wednesday...Alright. Just got my Hard Case Candy Street Skin (Black Color)
Placed it on the iPad and it looks pretty cool. It is much thinner than I expected and it is hard and does feel like it would protect it from the day to day use. However, if the ipad falls I dont think it will save it from such an impact but might reduce it just enough. It would definatly protect the body and screen from scraches. The ports are all accessible but some after market syncing cables with fatter connectors might have a hard time going in.
The screen cover fits perfectly with the rest of the skin but it is a little hard to place it on because the openings on the cover is a little small to go into the plastic beeds on the skin (dont know what they are called). I guess with time those circular openings will stretch a little.
I received my Street Skin yesterday and put it on my iPad. (I did get a black one as I ordered, from Amazon.) First the positive: 1) It does provide very good protection to the iPad on all sides. 2) It is indeed VERY grippy, and makes the iPad very easy to carry around and feel secure, especially with the front screen cover attached. That cover does attach to either the front or back with little nubs that are rather hard to attach, although they might loosen up with use. 3) It's a good-looking case.
Now the negative (to me): 1) I could never get the right side of the case to lay totally flat along the right screen edge, like the left edge does. I pulled and tried to adjust it, but no improvement. The problem is the cutout for the volume control, which seems to make that edge less rigid or something. 2) The cutouts are not perfectly placed. The headphone jack cutout at the top just barely clears the hole, and it makes inserting a jack more difficult. I tried two different kinds of headphones, and both were harder to insert because of that. 3) The biggest negative to me (and the reason I have now taken it off) is the added weight. The Ipad itself is heavy enough, but adding the Street Skin case just made it heavier and uncomfortable to hold, even with the added grip.
So I'm waiting (impatiently) for my Apple case to arrive. Maybe I'll like it better. I do look forward to the different positions the Apple case provides.
Well I didn't have the problem of the right side not laying flat. I do agree though that it adds weight to the iPad. However, that didn't bug me a lot but some might mind it. After placing and removing the screen cover for for bunch of times it gets easier as the holes on the cover stretch. I am happy with this purchase. It is really protective as I am really anal about scratches.
I'm hoping that this case can be used instead of a case+sleeve.
