Hardware that does not work with El Capitan

strange, I had to download patch for my E3251 from http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=31145

but before this patch was released, everytime I plugged in the dongle, I had to manually start the mbbservice script.

It is only a driver issue so I'm confident they will fix it. Anything else would give them seriously bad rep. What I find most surprising is that this hasn't been sorted at the time of release. It's not just a few odd models that have been left in the cold, but entire model-lines of fairly recent machines.

Is the 2012 non retina 13" MBP included in this? I also have a 2012 Mini so it's good to know to wait till this is fixed.

I just upgraded my 2015 15" MBP. Happy with it so far.

What model computer do you have? I've used one with a 2012 Mac Mini and a 2013 retina Macbook Pro just fine.

I have a new iMac 5K from last Nov.
My Super Drive works fine on my Macbook Air (2012) running El Capitan

Many of them actually could work by now, you just have to check if there is an software update available on developers website. For my huawei wifi adapter E3251 an update was ready one month after El Capitan GM release

Do you mean 3G/4G USB modems? I use the driverless ZTE MF667, which supports (at least OS X 10.6; recent versions of Linux and Windows) without any additional drivers (via your web browser):

AFAIK, many Huawei 3G/4G USB modems allow also the configuration via a web browser.

The problem is not simple code we could quickly change, it comes from an incompatible Kernel extension that is provided by the chipset maker, and the chip was discontinued so they won’t release a new kernel extension. We are still trying to find some sort of workaround but have not been able to yet.​

I have Beemo (GI0801) usb modem and it is also not fully supported in El Capitan. I can not connect to mobile operator. Do you have any solution?
