I am not reccomending, just saying it is a possibility. He would only need the enclosure since he already has the gpu and monitor.

Don't really understand why AMD simply couldn't include the 580Pro in their regular GPU-drivers, like what Nvidia did. Apple should go back to Nvidia again, and we would get faster GPUs that also draw less power - win-win.

I keep telling people that Mac's don't game as well as PC's. But people keep attacking me for that "misunderstanding", but will say it again. Mac's don't game as well as PC's.

There is nothing specific to Apple products that make it bad for gaming. It is simply an optimization issue - as is proven if you install Bootcamp on the same hardware and get very good performance. The same can be said that some console games are absolutely horrible on ANY Windows PC due to crappy ports.
