I guess you are still under warranty , mine expired yesterday sigh😟
I was hoping that 13.5.1 would fix the battery issue but it didn't
No, my warranty expired 9 months ago so I was a bit surprised given Apple is usually terrible with failures one day outside warranty so I suspect they have a software issue they are trying to make good for.

I have a a 2018 Ipad pro installed 13.5 now will not charge and just keeps flashing the battery icon when plugged in. Tried different cables charges hard reset soft reset. Unfortunately it's out of warranty so I have to send it in hopefully its not the full 499 price.

Exactly same problem here. Christmas 2018 iPad Pro 11 became unusable after iOS upgrade. Was exchanged FOC by Apple after diagnosis. Unfortunately, replacement has exactly the same problem and has been sent back.

Mine has the same problem and I’m waiting for the replacement to arrive, finger crossed !
I wonder why Apple is not taking any steps toward fixing it, there are so many in our same boat 🚣‍♀️.....

On Apple forums someone is saying that the auto dark mode is the cause of it. Going to try to disable it
and this morning
iOS 13.5.1 battery drain

Hopefully it will be fixed with iOS 13.6. Apple is now aware of the problem as developers talk about it in updates notes.

Plus there are apps running in the background even if background has been disabled
There is no more way to disable background settings individually for each app
beside in Screen time but it still allows apps to bypass it
OpenTable was running in the background even if I've not been using it since months..

Interestingly, the replacement 2018 iPad Pro that I was sent by appLe experienced the exact same problem as my original iPad after only a week. It seems to be linked to letting it go completely flat on 13.5.1 and then not being able to charge it from there. If you charge it before it goes flat, it seems to be ok.

Yep, same here. Did yours stop working after going completely flat too?

No, , after all what I was reading I tried not to let it go flat but it wasn't full charging either and after a diagnostic test from Apple they replaced it. The newer one has some issues too, not the same battery status though but doesn't fully charge either: I can see that using coconutBattery on my mac
It shows that is charged 100% on the iPad but on coconutBattery it's only at 98% of design capacity.
The battery of the replacement is 6 month old.
If I force restart it, same thing I was doing on the old one, it charges more, 98.5%
Cross fingers they will fix it soon (more than a month has passed already ..)
