I got impatient (and a bit envious) and cancelled my nano order and instead ordered a 16GB touch, which actually shipped 17 hours after I ordered! I wonder what's keeping the nano's.

I live in Vancouver, I ordered my red engraved 16 gig nano on Tuesday the 9th at 11:30 pm and it shipped today after reading "Prepared for shipping" for about 2 hours. Seems pretty quick to me. It has been "picked up" from shanghai.
You mean the shipment originated from Shanghai? Strange, mine came from Shenzhen. Maybe they have different iPod manufacturing facilities... 1 for each colour perhaps?
But it would make sense to make all the iPods in the same place, I would have thought.

Its in transit now. Estimated delivery on the 22nd. It said between the 18th and 25th. So I'm happy.

I ordered a black 16gb on Sep 13, 2008 at 10:52 PM PDT and it's still at "Not yet shipped"
ETA at 10:34 PST: I just now changed to "Prepared for Shipment"
ETA: Some time between 5 PM and 11 PM PST last night it changed to "Shipped" and should arrive by Tuesday. So if that's true, they just meet their 2-4 business day shipping estimate.

My ipod just left Anchorage. So I'm guessing it'll have left tennessee tomorrow and be in vancouver late tomorrow. And ship to my house on Monday!!

Orange 16gb ordered Sep 9th.
Arrived this morning and its beautiful.
I saw the silver in person at a Target (8gb of course) and I must say it was pretty sharp. Pictures didn't do it justice...but I could say the same for the orange as well. This baby is ORAANNNGEEEE.
