Believe it or not I use my iPhone every chance I get for web browsing, apps and music of course. I leave my notebook in my room and sit on the couch watching TV on the ready to Google to my heart's content without worrying about putting the notebook to sleep to keep the battery charged and make sure it stays cool and doesn't have a bad fall. The iPhone is a durable pocket computer that needs no ventillation, little batter power covetting, and doesn't take up much space.
It's like a Ford F350 diesel vs a Willy's overland Jeep, if you don't need to pull a house, hop in the light quick rugged Jeep.

Also, each time my notebook goes in for repair I feel almost no loss when my iPhone is around :D

Not a chance. There are way too many tasks I need my MB for that I either can't do with my iPhone or don't like doing with my iPhone.

I do, however, enjoy being able to lie in bed on my back to use my iPhone to surf the internets.... Like I'm doing right now. Can't do that with a laptop........

No. It hasn't replaced my Mac yet. Like tgmk, my music library is much larger than my 32GB 3GS can hold. The iPhone can take over a PC many years ago with its speedy processor, but not fully replace a PC yet.

To an extent, yes. I used to use my computer every day without fail, but now the things I used it for on a daily basis - email, RSS, Twitter, checking the occasional website - I now do on my iPhone.

When I'm sat at my desk with my laptop and iPhone on my desk, the iPhone is used as my primary email and Twitter client, only.

Like Apple says, "There's an app for that." Simplify Music.

For the average use of PC's the iPhone can do most of it. The cellphone in general is becoming a person's main computing device, especially in developing countries.

Since getting an iPhone I'd say I'm on it more than my laptop. It's just easier to use.

For email, yes. Although I primarily Tweet and check Facebook on my iPhone. However, it doesn't replace Photoshop for my photograph's, and my iTunes music library. I still rely quite a bit on my MBP.

There are days I don't turn on my iMac when I would if I didn't have an iPhone. But when I'm at my iMac I realize how much faster and easier it is than the iPhone. So maybe a little, but not much.

iPhone def. has its boundaries set, no question about it. Having said that, I still use my 10" laptop (travel) & MAC or PC for other things the iPhone cannot provide.

No. I use it when I'm out and about for things like web browsing and it comes in vry handy for that, but when I'm at home I much prefer staring at a 15.6" widescreen than that of the iPhone. :)

It all comes down to this:

My computer is powerful, has a large screen, more comfortable to type on and does waaaaaaaaaaaaay more than an iPhone can do.

No way, I frequently find myself running to a computer when I'm using my tiny iphone screen and want to see it on my 22 inch monitor. ;)

Hardly so, some casual surfing and email aside no. Can't see how it can replace my PC when by design iPhone needs the PC/iTunes connection to work.

I'm going to say no. When I'm on the go or if I'm too lazy to reach for my Powerbook on the couch to check something real quick in Safari, the iPhone is perfect.

Replace my PC?
Not being able run flash, the iphone, in my case, has same major limitations.
a 3+ inch screen can't possibly take place of a 15.4 inch experieince

Not yet for sure

First off I love my iphone and would be lost without it but I still need a bigger screen to work with. I guess it's an old guy problem:cool:
