I had a $350 Acer laptop a few years back. First thing I did was put an Apple logo sticker on the front. I graffitied the entire thing with bumper stickers and band names and threw it around constantly. Now I grimace if I see a fingerprint on my white MacBook. Ironic, as it's built like a tank, and my Acer fell apart pretty quickly. Live and learn.

So you think that if you buy a $1250 computer, you are in the same league as Ferrari drivers?! Have you even got a car at all?!



Why is this bloody site is filled up with threads and posts about hating this and hating that? I think a good position is just to grow up or not to give a ****. Maybe for some people, Apple hardware or even computer hardware is not a central dilemma. People have lives, not just computers.

I didn't claim it does, and also note I was talking not about those who dislike macs, but those who say "I don't hate macs, just the people who use them", then proceed to bash both.

It's just weird. I dislike Windows, but I really don't find the time or the need to go and and on about hating it.

But thanks for the nonsensical personal attack.

Darn. I guess I should have read it all when I first got there. Things must have gotten nasty (worse than what I've seen on MR)! :)

Why do people have to get so personal about "personal" computers? What if we got into these arguments about everything that we buy? "You have a Serta mattress? Those suck! Posturepedic is way better! You're an idiot!" Can't we all just get along?
