Thinking of upgrading from an Intel MBP.
However the markup for the extra RAM on the most recent MBP is definitely making me look at Windows/Ubuntu laptops. Here in Europe an extra 8GB of RAM is priced more than 200 euros, so USD250 on top of an expensive laptop (I quickly searched the price of dekstop RAM upgrade on Amazon, it's priced at 25-50USD). At that total price I might get a powerhouse on Windows, even though I was sold to Apple in the first place (Hey I'm reading and even posting on a Mac fan forum).
It really seems like the pricing of this generation is driven by the low selling performance of AAPL. After all, a company with 20-25% profit on its sales is probably performing much worse than the average
