In my experience, a person who hates macs does so because he has never touched one and has decided so without any knowledge of it whatsoever. But if you put that person in a room for 30 minutes with, lets say, a shiny new 24" aluminum iMac with a wireless keyboard and mouse, the above mentioned person will in almost every case shi* their pants*.
Every family member converted, every single friend and it even got me a job at Apple
