Having problems with my status bar, what to do?

install statusbarfix2 to fix your status bar problem

You should really read the other posts before posting. We already recommended that he install StatusBarFix2 but he states that he still has problems with the status bar.

And? It's the same as you wasting your time to type this comment.
Then he should try whiteSBfix

I was merely remarking that you should read the discussion prior to posting. You really thought that no one suggested this solution? Just makes your post pointless and unhelpful.

I've tried stausbarfix2, that was the first thing I tried. The dev of sbf2 said you could you ssh to fix individual apps that sbf2 did not fix, some kind of "kill all -9" command. The directions aren't very clear on how to use it. It just says download putty on windows which I have no idea on how to use it. Then I saw someone use mobileterminal from cydia which supposedly is easier but yet again no directions on what to do. Your suppose type in "killall -9 stocks" for example and the stock app should now be fixed then you go to the next app that still isnt showing the right status bar. That is where I'm at currently, trying to find directions. I've posted on jailbreakqa, reddit, etc.

capatilization matters, so "killall -9 Stocks" if the app is stocks

just open mobileterminal and type in "kill -9 ____" (not quite sure how to find the name though)

I did type that command in, check the screenshot out.

I typed in "killall -9 stocks" and then it says "No matching processes belonging to you were found". I then typed in su for the heck of it and ask for a password. Do I need to login before I enter the command in? Like I've mentioned I have no idea what any of that means.

ok ill check that again. i have a quick question in the mean time. i wanted to remove cydia/jailbreak and start fresh, but i accdentaly did a restore through itunes before removing cydia, i dont know if that removes the jailbreak correctly or not? anyways, after i restored my phone back to 7.0.4 i checked the stocks app and the status bar is still black, even with no jb? does this mean there are some jb files left over? should i go into dfu and restore that way? i wonder if the restore was somehow corrupted.

here are the screenshots:

what the stock sb is suppose to look like:

what mine stocks sb currently looks like:

You don't need to remove cydia before restoring to unjailbreak

If you restored from backup, then that's probably why it carried over to your stock iOS

The statusbar problem is related to the jailbreak. So until an official fix is out, you'll have to live with it or use the statusbarfix2 tweak
