How this for exciting

A philips TV, i forget the model, but it's 30 something inches, does 720p via DVi though :D and a load of consoles (the main reason for it) the xbox is in the back room at the time of the photo btw ;)

Sound comes from headphones, or from time to time the TVs internal speakers, their good enough for the kind of volume i can use without annoying nextdoor

Also works rather well with my powerbook hooked up, running emulators :D

/me awaits mega cool setups from other folks

dude... that's one of my favorite games on the screen there.

not exactly the nicest home theater setup in the world, but my grandma gave me the screen and my dad bought a projector for work (That he never uses) so I set it up in my room. Its pretty sweet. I measured the part that displays and its 42" :D

Here's mine with my iBook:

is it really fair to say "mine" though? i bet your parents would disagree. :p (just being cheeky with ya man, i'm a ball-buster like that sometimes)

Well, my room is a bit of a bomb site but I've spent a lot of money on it and I'm very proud.

Key items - Optoma H79 HD projector. Xbox 360. PS2. iMac G5 20". Denon AV amp (Can't remember exact model). Oray projector screen (electronic). Eastsound E5 CD-Player. Pioneer DVD player (can't remember model). Everything runs into the AV amp and the projector depending on what I want to do.

These pictures truely do not give the projector justice. When supplied with HD footage I have never seen any LCD, Plasma etc sharper and blur free than this projector. But it came at a price. Xbox 360 is huge fun through it and with surroud sound.

Yeah, I was in the same situation. Baring in mind I'm talking in GBP (£) here, not the dollar.

The projector cost me £3000
The screen cost me £1000.

I think in the USA this projector is currently around the $5000 mark online.

The projector is also known as the Themescene H79, or the Optoma Themescene H79.

I'm in serious need of an XBOX 360 and a Mac Mini. :D

It's a 50" Sony HD Rear Projection LCD (model is A10) for inquiring minds. It weighs half as much as my 27" CRT TV did.

Jsw's setup is my favourite. Love that, and I can't believe people still build their own "furniture" nowadays. That's a great thing. :) The setup would make me nervous though. I mean, isn't the entire setup heavy? How is it attached to the wall?

And what do you mean by "wood trim"? Is it what we see on the surface of the entire unit, but painted in black?

Brand of TV? It has a nice casing. :)

Yeah, I would have guessed around that.

My System

I have a 37" LG LCD TV, a NAD T743 Receiver, a Nad T533 DVD/DVD-Audio player (dual region, too, which is quite convenient), and a 5.1 Wharfedale Diamond 8.4 surround set.

(I'll try to post an actual pic tomorrow.)
