I was wondering a lot about the Health app and the data produced/recorded by Apple themselves.
Activity - taken care of with the sensors in Apple Watch and in iPhone.
Mindfulness - Breathe app on Apple Watch
Sleep - Bedtime section in Clock app
Nutrition - will Apple do something to make the data autofill? Obviously third party equipment is available, but can Apple do something to make it theirs? As I said in another post, the videos being hidden might hold clues to something we don't know yet.

The loss of the dashboard is the worst. The data does auto fill if you use an app that ties into Health. I use Lose it! to track my calories and macros and that's what populates the sodium and other graphs.

Nothing can beat one page that shows all graphs at once and can be reordered.

Apple keeps adding complexity. It's not Apple like. Surely there's people within Apple that use the dashboard and can't be happy about this.

I'd also like to see a way to print out the data from 'Show all data' or a way to email it so someone can show their doctor.

I like your ideas, I do miss the graphs too, but I'm more interested in whether Apple now have biosensors that can measure glucose plus whatever else it can...and this data will be collected by the next Apple Watch (or maybe Apple Watch 3?) and placed in the Nutrition section. Time will tell I guess.

Even though I don't use the Health app as many people would, I do hate this new interface. Like others are saying, it now takes more steps just to get to your health info. From a user experience perspective, this is a bad move and a huge downgrade. Too bad Apple is not going to change it anytime soon now. Maybe in iOS 11, but that'll take another year.

I hate the app now. But it won't be a reason to not upgrade. In fact, I already use iOS 10 from beta 1 on my main device. The advantages prevail over the cons at this one. :p

Hey cmichaelb, what apps do you use that tie in to the health app besides lose it? Anything in particular?

Like currently, im using Sleep++ and HeartWatch, but I am testing Pillow currently to replace Sleep++.

The only one I use is Lose it! currently - and my Apple watch.

I would like a Bluetooth blood pressure monitor so I don't have to enter it manually.

Now that I'm down almost 30lbs I'll probably start incorporating more stats from Lose it! like my macros.

I'll have to check out those apps. I had a cerebral hemorraghge in April so I've been focused on recovering and getting my weight and blood pressure down.

It's been a huge help to me in its current form. I have a 6s+ so I really don't need to upgrade my hardware anytime soon.

I'll just stay on iOS 9.

I encourage everyone to start hitting Tim Cooks email. His assistants read them so the more complaints the better- squeaky wheel gets the oil. :D

The redesign is a joke and I have no idea why anyone would think it's better. Am really open to hearing how or why this is a better and more efficient design because I can't of a single reason myself

Like I mentioned, I hate the health data menu but I love the today menu. Reason being is I don't need to see hourly step counts and things like that. If I want to see hourly breakdowns, I can view them.

I like the today menu and how it shows everything I need for today. But I can also understand why others might not like it.

Haha I don't mind it as i only use the Health app as a secondary place to look at data. I like the Today view but do agree that the dashboard was a great feature.

Thanks.. slowly but surely on the mend. I appreciate it!

One thing you mentioned was the today view - I'm more interested in seeing my long term averages etc. Weekly, Monthly, Yearly... that's one of the big benefits of the dashboard. The weekly menu allows me to see what I did for that day. Just my particular use case.

I just want to see the dashboard back, exactly how it was.

Life is too short to waste time with stupid UI changes. I'm a happy FitPort user from last year. So much better as dashboard.

Apple should take a look at the new Fitbit app dashboard. It's far more useful and also more motivating to hit your targets.

I actually really dislike how Activity and Health are separate apps. I find Fitbit app to be so much better at displaying my fitness data that I may ditch the Watch in favour of the fitbit. Health tracking is my main use of the apple watch, notifications are ok, apps are useless to me. So having a better fitness and sleep tracking device with a useful dashboard on mobile on a device that is a third of the price of the cheapest Apple Watch seems like a better deal.
[doublepost=1472458075][/doublepost]I found Fitport by a suggestion above, and I find it better than Apple Health. Thanks! It might just keep me on Apple Watch.

Keep in mind that Health needs to be segregated from Activity since Apple is moving into the medical field. Health is meant to be more of a depository of all your health/medical information and a future tool for self managing/owning all your health/medical related info. Health will be used to feed all health/medical data to and from apps/medical professionals for evaluation.

So in short the Health app is to be a professional tool while the Activity app is a 'game'.

I believe Apple's thinking may have been that the original UI was just too plain and people are less likely to use it. So Apple 'spurred' it up to look 'sexier' and 'fun' to use. However removing the Dashboard view was a mistake IMO or is it IEO [in everyones opinion:D].

What apps are you using to keep track of your weight/sodium intake and blood pressure? I currently use the health app to keep track of my steps taken at work. I'm honestly not a big fan of having to manually enter everything I eat because I find it cumbersome at times.

Apps like MyFitnessPal or Loseit! for nutrient intake logs and can sync with HealthKit.

The new Health app is pretty awful, I agree. I use a Withings scale to track my weight (down 31 lbs in last year) & BMI.

The dashboard graphs on the old Health app were great. Now I have to dig around to see one graph at a time.

And on top of that, I'm not sure the Withings data is being integrated correctly in to the iOS 10.0's Health.app. My weights for the last two days aren't listed, though not sure if this is an Apple beta problem or a Withings + iOS 10 problem. Perhaps Withings needs to update their app or backend servers.

Yes, of course. But I like having it available in the health app so other apps have access to the data if I wish.
You misunderstood what I was saying.

  1. Open Withings app
  2. Wait about 10 to 15 seconds for data to sync over to the Health app
  3. Pull down to force sync if necessary
  4. Open Health app and latest readings will be there

I really miss the old dashboard. Not sure why they changed it but now it's really hard to have a fast glimps of your day, week or month

I too miss the dashboard. The redesign is terrible - how irritating will the "motivational videos" be after six months of use - what a waste of space.

The health app really is a step backwards. I use the app every day to get a quick summary of various metrics from a variety of apps (withings, garmin connect, strava)

Now that they have gotten rid of the dashboard, and the summary only gives you todays data, I have to dig though to find the graphs and I can only view one graph at a time
Totally agree, what a mess.

Does not work, the sync-bar just freezes, I tried reinstalling the app to no avail.
