I ordered this morning.Traded in an older iPad, but kept my 2018 IPP for my husband. It will be a nice upgrade for him and I hope he will use this one more than he did the iPad Air.

Yeah as soon as I finalized the system was trying to say Product NOT available. But thanks to Apple Pay’s speed I made it through.

$799+Tax after trade in credit about $550 thats a sweet spot for a new 11” iPad Pro. Which solidifies hopefully an M3 14” MacBook Pro.

Congrats. The 11" Pro does support Thunderbolt / USB4. It's the non pro's that don't. How much storage did you get? I got the 256 its 4x as much as my current Air.
I got the 128 as it seems to be all I need, but then after checking the storage on my current one I upgraded to the 256

as a heads up just like the iPhones you'll be limited to 1080 @ 30fps with ProRes with the 128GB option:
  • ProRes video recording up to 4K at 30 fps (1080p at 30 fps for 128GB storage)

I figured its not much from an M1 iPad Pro to an M2 iPad Pro. But from an 2018 A12X with 4GB RAM chip to an M2 with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM yeah there’s gonna be a 50% Uplift across the board.

It is kinda sad that they still use the flimsy design. It's kind of ridiculous to not carry the iPad Pro in my backpack to prevent it from bending. Like make it a bit thicker and more rigid please and add a bigger battery if possible.

I don’t see the clear advantage of the 11 pro versus a 5th gen air… what are you all doing that justifies the M2 versus M1 especially at these low storage capacities in which you don’t get the extra 8GB of ram that the 1/2TB pros get? Seems to me the 5th gen air 256g for $674 (military discount) is a better bargain?

I am looking at getting the 11 or 12'9 pro - I had already waited a yr longer for the 11 to get the better display, and obviously it didn't happen. I just popped into the local apple store to look at the size diff between the two - and what I really noticed was how yellow tinted the 11 inch display was compared to not only the 12'9 but also the iPad Air next to it. I pointed this out to one of the staff and they fiddled with brightness / True Tone and all the screen settings but it still looked noticeably yellow (and nowhere near as bright as the 12'9 display). The white never looked that crisp and bright on the display. The iPad Air was far whiter.

Has anyone else seen this ? I am hoping that the m2 iPad 11 pro doesn't have this same yellow tinted screen.

given the prices of the M1 (not M2) pro, it really depends how much people value quad speakers and promotion....

I figured 4 years with my 2018 unit was enough. 4 years is gonna be a nice differnce especially with looming WW3 can pop off any second. Making chip shortages worse.

Or put a sturdy case on it then toss it in your backpack. I do and have done for years. No issues. Hope you’re not the type that expects an electronic device to withstand being piled on by 9 textbooks and a water bottle then whine when it gets damaged…👀

Where are you seeing special pricing on the M1 Pro? Everywhere I look it’s the same price as the M2?
The M1 has frequently been going on sale for either $100 or $200 off. You just have to catch it. I am routinely seeing the M1 iPad Pro 12.9 on sale for $999 at Amazon and Walmart. Even right now, the 128GB and 256GB M1 iPad Pro are $200 off on Amazon.

Ended up changing my order to the 256 since I forgot I had that on my current one. I don't know if I will get another Apple Pencil though. If my husband uses it I will, otherwise I can just keep this one.

while GloriousAndrew replied for the US, I can tell you that here in Europe M1 iPad pro can be found for much cheaper than M2. It will not last, once stocks run out, but for now prices have not changed.

If WW3 starts…. We will all be vaporized so might as well get what we want while we can still enjoy it.

Ordered an 11in 5G with 256gb of storage. ETA is Wed.
Same here. First iPad in 5+ years (my old ones belonged to my former firm). Got the same spec as you. Unfortunately I had to choose in-store pickup on the 28th because I'm traveling out of town till then. :(
