I’m doing 12 mo 0% Apple Card installments. I can afford outright but I want to build my credit and I think I get Apple Cash this way

Isla Nublar
No Mini-LEDs
No OLED
No new design or FaceTracking
No Thunderbolt 4

But hey WiFI 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and $245 Trade in on a 4 year old Tablet heck I had to.

Same. I got $255 for my mini 6. I love the mini but it's just too small for what I use an iPad for so I couldn't resist with the trade in they offered.

This trade in only makes sense in the US and you’re not coming from a recent generation.

The pricing elsewhere remains uncompetitive with M1 iPads.

I did the same with my Mini 6 and have found that as I am viewing more content, etc. the Mini’s screen is too small. I think that the 11” will be the perfect size for me.

It is kinda sad that they still use the flimsy design. It's kind of ridiculous to not carry the iPad Pro in my backpack to prevent it from bending. Like make it a bit thicker and more rigid please and add a bigger battery if possible.
With you here. The iPad is the only Apple device I refuse to use without a case. I have one on my iPhone only to protect from drops (but I no longer think people are psycho for not using one, like in the old days), and on my iPad because they need all the rigidity they can get.

I am looking at getting the 11 or 12'9 pro - I had already waited a yr longer for the 11 to get the better display, and obviously it didn't happen. I just popped into the local apple store to look at the size diff between the two - and what I really noticed was how yellow tinted the 11 inch display was compared to not only the 12'9 but also the iPad Air next to it. I pointed this out to one of the staff and they fiddled with brightness / True Tone and all the screen settings but it still looked noticeably yellow (and nowhere near as bright as the 12'9 display). The white never looked that crisp and bright on the display. The iPad Air was far whiter.

Has anyone else seen this ? I am hoping that the m2 iPad 11 pro doesn't have this same yellow tinted screen.

Maybe the store lighting?? The whites on my M1 iPad 11 look pretty white (in Notes and OneNote). Could be that my eyeballs just aren't picking up the yellow tint.

Nice. I’m traveling next week so did in store pickup for Friday. Not sure when they charge that.
Side question - I'm also traveling next week so I'm going to miss launch on Wednesday. My in store pickup is still only showing Wednesday -- can you pick it up the next day? (I'll be back on Thursday). Was planning to order from the Apple store a couple of miles from my house.

I’ve ordered the M2 11” 2TB in silver. I have an M1 12.9” that I’ll keep as well. I’ve found that I just want a more portable iPad again. I gave my 10.5” iPP to my husband when I got the 12.9”. I also have a mini 6 which is a joy to use for portability, but it’s too small to be my main iPad and I missed the 10.5” size. I think that the 11” will be perfect for my use cases. I’ll still use the 12.9” at home and likely for video while using my 11” in hand.
Maybe I’m in the minority, but I’m actually glad about the camera on the 11” being still in the portrait orientation as I use my iPad in hand for the most part.

I don’t see the clear advantage of the 11 pro versus a 5th gen air… what are you all doing that justifies the M2 versus M1 especially at these low storage capacities in which you don’t get the extra 8GB of ram that the 1/2TB pros get? Seems to me the 5th gen air 256g for $674 (military discount) is a better bargain?
Valid point. I was going to upgrade my daughter's 5th gen iPad to either the M1 iPad Air or M1 Pro 11". She prefers touchID over FaceID for a tablet so iPad Air it was, and I went for the M1 12.9" for myself because I wanted the bigger display. This was six months ago, but we would probably make the same choices today as I don't think the M2 and iPadOS brings anything to the table over a discounted M1 IPP.

It's not the chip that makes the difference, but the pro motion display. The rest of the benefits of the iPad Pro are nice, I guess, with the quad speakers, sliiiightly bigger screen, better microphones, better cameras - they're real benefits but they're not what's worth the extra money. It's really the 120hz display.

When you push the Air up to 256GB I don't think it's that far away in price from the 256GB iPad Pro though.

Hmm - not sure - certainly a possibility - I went back again today and looked at 3 different 11 iPad Pros and 12'9 and also Airs - it still seemed noticeable. Sort or reminded me of a few years back when people were comparing iPhones with screens made by two different manufacturers - Samsung? / LG?? and one screen was very white the other was tinted.

About to pull the trigger. Trade in my 2020 11 128gb with a 200 dollar gift card toward a 256 11 inch. Woul be less than three bills out of pocket with military discount.
I’m like 2020 ? Then I remembered there was No 2019 iPad Pro.

2018 iPad Pro A12X and 4GB RAM
2019 NO release
2020 A12Z and 4GB RAM
2021 M1 and 8GB RAM model
2022 M2 and 8GB RAM
2023 NO release (I gurantee it)
2024 Major Redesign, $300 Price Increase at least 120Hz OLED M3

Honestly I really Don’t even want an OLED iPad especially a Gen 1 OLED production run. It’s been 4 years it’s gonna be a major update for many people. And The form factor keeps my $300 Magic keyboard relevant for another year.

The 2020 IPP 11” had 6 GB RAM.

You get Apple Cash with the installments, or just using the Apple Card. The nice thing about the installments is that if you decide you're tired of making the payments they make it easy to just pay it off completely.

This is my logic as well. I prefer to get the 2nd iteration of an Apple redesign, because there's always something they mess up in that first iteration. So I can get a new iPad Pro now, or I can rock my 2018 for another 3 years. The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger is that my 2018 is still doing great, but I'm definitely leaning towards picking up the new 11" M2 Pro.

i ordered an 128gb 11-inch m2 wifi + cellular ipp on the date of annoucement to collect on launch date of 26 october 2022.

however, i think i am likely to use it for 14 days then return for 256gb one.

although i maybe very unlikely to record 4k pro res video on it, but i think i also do not want to limit my ipp capability due to the extra to pay for 256gb one.

Those 2024 iPad Pro models could be released in a Spring event... there's rumors of a 14" iPad as well. Regardless of any exclusive feature that might come to M2 iPad Pros during WWDC 2023, I won't upgrade. 2024 is the year I'll be upgrading from my 2021 iPad Pro.

I'll probably look to get a battery replacement for my iPad Pro come next year to help with performance.

My M1 iPad Pro 11 screen is white and even. Screens very in color and evenness and the one at Apple may not represent the screen on the new M2s. It wouldn't stop me from buying one if I was in the market.

My status from Apple still says preparing to ship. Says Express shipping is that UPS? Do these ship from China or stateside?
