As for accuracy, it was the most reliable reading I've had during exercise yet. Much better and accurate then either the Apple watch itself or my old Fitbit.
Good to know, and not surprising to me as I've had a Garmin Forerunner for about five years. Its chest strap could read my HR no matter what, and was dependable whether I was just our for a jog, doing yoga, or doing Super-High Intensity Training ("****" workout... heh!).

The old Forerunner could never get a HR without the strap, of course. At least the AW has the option.

Enjoy the extra accuracy, and let us know how much battery life it saves, too. I've heard that the Bluetooth connection uses less power than keeping the LEDs turned on all the time.

Just ordered the Polar H7 from Amazon. Should arrive on Tuesday. Looking forward to testing it out soon! Question though, How can you tell that the strap is connected? Do you have to go through the settings app to the bluetooth settings to see it, or does it show up in the Workout app?
Thanks!

I paired it with my Apple Watch under Bluetooth settings, not the iPhone itself. As soon as it's paired it'll say so plus the green light's under your Apple Watch stop flashing/checking pulse rate when it's connected. As soon as you take the H7 off your body the watch returns automatically to it's standard pulse reading status.

I'm not using the Polar Beat app that's available. Just the standard Apple Watch app works fine for my needs, plus it's easy to use vs some of these other after market apps.

Looks like a great product but $449.00 is a lot of money vs $49.00. I'm guessing this Qardio product is for people that need to seriously keep track of cardiac issues, not just monitor heart rate.
