My Number one rule = never pay a dime to credit card companies. If you don't have the cash in the bank, don't put it on credit card. Interest is evil and is driving Americans into buying stuff they don't need. Don't be caught up in debt. Very bad thing. For some people it will take 20 years to pay off that $1500 computer. I suggest that you monitor your spendings and then after you have paid off your debts, then spring for the new iMac. Set up an Ultimatum that you will not get a new computer or other new toy until your credit cards are paid off.

You need the stimulation of porn on your 20" iMac screen in order to get ready to make babies.:D

I read the title as:

"Help me conceive my wife!"

I was most confused for a few seconds...

Stupid dyslexia.

LOL . . . This is exactly what I did with my now ex-wife and the computer I now own. (Hmmm . . . wonder if there's a connection there). . . Except for Step 7.
yikes, i hope that wasn't the only thing that lead to the divorce!!

wPod..... you married?
nope. but i totally pulled this with my gf of 3 years. though i guess i pulled it a little differently. technically when i pulled it i gave her diamond earings as an early xmas gift, then pulled out my new 15" PB as if it were exactly the same thing as my old 12" pb (btw my gf is an avid mac user (thats how i met her kinda)) and she immediately noticed my new pb! and she ended up not being too mad. every time shed say something mean id just take another drink of beer and point at her earrings, then shed just smile!

marriage sounds to scary. i doubt anything will ever work out like it does now. i guess i get away with so much cause theres always the threat i could just be gone one day. but with marriage im stuck!!! my gf keeps bugging me about marriage but i will not discus it till im done with school (im in my 5th year of college right now O:) ) i cant hold out much longer ive delayed my graduation until next december, dont know what ill do after that! im thinking about moving away till my gf gets her masters degree (yes, in the 5.5 years it took me to get my undergrad my gf will be one semester away from finishing her masters! heh) anyway, ill stop rambling now

It all depends on how much you owe on your credit debt, medical bills, car payments etc.

I just freed up $300 per month paying off one of my cars early.

If your debts aren't too severe, consider paying $1000 on the bills and
saving the remainder in an account until you have saved enough to buy
the Mac you want with cash.

At least this is a semi responsible plan.

All very nice suggestions; now here's one that'll work.

Honey, I've been thinking long and hard what we should do with our refund. After careful consideration, there's only 2 things we should buy - a new Mac and shoes, shoes, shoes!

How to be convincing

$2000 for an iMac heh?

i agree with what everyone else said...
*plan slideshows of ur photographs
*and get ur footage of ur holidays, wedding etc ready.

Make it a romantic stay over the weekend deal... surprise her lol.

hmmm now u have to choose whether to get 17" or 20"...
Make sure u upgrade to at least 1Gb RAM! You can impress her better when the apps fly!

Hey make sure you check out MacMall.com because they have a great deal:
Same price in apple.com except u get a Wacom tablet, extra 512 RAM, and a printer.

Hmmm have u got software already? Make sure u factor that in. Office would set u about $150... make use of the 50% rebate that ends this march.

As for the extra money,

Hmmm if u opt for the 17", u have $500 to spare! Treat her to a nice dinner, and swhe'll forgive you!

Well, I suppose I could lend you some of my mojo. I find that anytime I give a woman some lovin', they'll let me do anything. "Oh you want to do it with my sister too? Sure, let me call her for you." or "You want to do donuts in my car in the middle of the highway? No problem!" or better yet "You want to by a maxed out Powermac G5 quad system with two 30 inch Cinema Displays and a bring home the Apple Sales girl with you? Here's my credit card!"

So, as you can xee, a little mojo goes a long way.
