Next years Samsung phone as usual will be the device to beat...when has apple not been a few generations behind with technology......
Sorry, but they usually aren't. Like someone else said, Samsung has some features over apple and apple has some over Samsung.

You come to MacRumors, expect iPhone 7 Plus to be the common answer. If you go to Android Central which I find to be a parallel universe of this place, then expect V20, S7 edge, and Pixel to be the answers.

Android guy here so I would go V20. My original plan was to get V20. If battery life wasn't efficient, then I would exchange it before my two weeks was up and get the 7+. But getting a MacBook Air changed all that.

If you have the opportunity to test drive the V20, I say do it. Then either keep it if you enjoy it enough or exchange it for iPhone 7 Plus if V20 disappoints you in areas especially in battery life which I believe is 30-40% worse than Note7, S7 edge, and the iPhone 7 series.

Well, this is the alternatives section. I'm sure if android central had an "apple" section they would prefer iPhones.

Just beware...

LG-V20-AnTuTu-Battery-Life-Test.png

GSM Arena gave it about 6-7 hrs with video and browsing. Phone Arena gave it only 6 hrs and 23 minutes or nearly 3 hours less than iPhone 7 Plus. This could be V10 horrendous battery life all over again and swapping batteries would eventually get annoying. Removable battery isn't all that to me when battery life isn't good and only offers half SOT as the best out there.

Battery life is very important to me because I live in a place that rains alot and we experience blackouts (aka brownouts). Long battery is very important. If you want the best of the best with specs and battery life, S7 edge. TechRadar proved it that video playback is quite long on it and S7 edge proves their camera is the best.

The camera shootout that might convince some buyers to AVOID the V20 and makes you miss that Note7...

Fast forward at the 4 min mark. The low light still and video in front of the hotel and the audio quality of that pool is so much better on the Note7. And Nicole from MobileGeek is an LG fangirl and you can hear some disappointment from her. Samsung got everybody beat this year (again) with cameras.

How did the Note 5 beat the Note 7 in AnTuTu? I definitely had better battery life with my Note 7.

Actually that's not true there are a lot of android central galaxy note 7 users that have switched to the iPhone 7 plus, just like the op
