Help the MBP become Time Magazine Gadget of the Year!

It was a tossup between the iPod + Nike and the Sanyo. Both represented new ways of using existing technology, putting the emphasis on usability and accessibility. I voted for the iPod.

The MBP on the other hand is a badly-engineered, overpriced laptop whose only claim to fame is that it's pretty. Why the hell would I vote for that?

I voted Nike + because it got me off my fat arse and is all exciting and technology-fied. The MBP's nice, but nothing new, and the DS Lite would have been my second choice.

I was torn between the MacBook Pro and the Nike+iPod kit, but I had to go for the MacBook Pro since I use that every day, while I've only had the Nike+iPod kit for five days.

the macbook pro looks like it has a pretty good chance. i hope it wins, but i still don't consider it a gadget. but i voted for it.

Hate to say it ... as much as I like the MBP ... I voted for the Nike+. All in all the MBP is a laptop nothing really new there ... but the Nike+ is a cool original idea that is unique and brings new functionality to runners. Kudo's to Apple and Nike for an outstanding new concept.

Please don't hurt me for this post ... I really like the MBP ... but I bet next year the apple laptop will make the list once again and we'll have a chance to vote for it then as well.

Well, my vote went to the Nike +iPod kit. But I'm certainly not upset to see MBP doing so well up there!
