Help with a virus- (W97M.Thus.A)on a Mac, how to fix.

The virus appeared while updating via the MAU. Total coincidence? Yes, an old thread but I'm beginning to see the same problem reported on other macs also. The gift that keeps on giving.

The autoupdater downloads signed updates, and the apps are signed after they've been installed. If something had gone wrong with the update process it'd error and the apps likely wouldn't launch.
