Help with cable choice

For me, switching from HDMI to DP 1.2 solved a weird problem where my desktop windows would change position on wake:

I officially fixed the sleep problems on my kids' Nvidia 2070 -> old Dell 27" 1440p display by switching from the Cable Matters to the Club 3D (certified) cable. I know it wasn't the intent of the thread, but hey.. got one PC all fixed up. Will swap the old cable on my LG ultrawide today to see if that helps any perceived firmware issues that I have experienced there.
