What's the make and model? It would be useful to know so that people can be sure to avoid it if they're thinking of buying a flat-panel (unless they're happy to run the audio through a separate amp).

It most certainly *is* misinformation when people are told "you can't get audio through the TV speakers if the video is going via HDMI, you have to use the PC input instead" as if it's some kind of universal fact that applies to all TVs.

I believe what was said was "you're going to need VGA to get audio+video simultaneously through the PC input" but whatevs. ;)

I've just re-read it (oh, so it was you!;)) and the guy you were answering *didn't* want to get audio and video simultaneously through the PC input, he wanted to get video via HDMI and be able to hear the audio. You basically told him he had the video plugged into the wrong place when in fact he had the *audio* plugged into the wrong place.

So any solution yet on this? It's getting on my nerve's...
The problem is with non Full HD tv's (on full HD works fine)
The problem is with HDMI and VGA.
The problem is not on the TV (windows worked just fine on that issue with nvidia vga).

The problem is that someone has to acknowledge the problem and do something about it.

The last update although it stated that more resolutions will become available didn't solve the problem.

problem solved for me.
latest update of mac os and switchresx custom CVT-RB 1360x768
