I fried both my DSL modem and then my Motorola Surfboard by trying to use USB and Ethernet. Unless it's made for that, it tries to pull 2 IP address (which you get billed for) and it can't handle the two connections. Don't try it...lol. Get a Linksys WRT54G. I have one and it's been great after I returned the few defective ones. :)

Yeah, I checked the site and Motorola says you should use one or the other. I can't find anywhere that says explicitly that using both is damaging and I had no idea it'd start frying components. Thanks for the tip off. :)

Would this work wirelessly with a mac and unwirelessly (for lack of a better word) with a PC? It has all the ports.. just future shop lists it as only compatible with windows..

At worst, you'll just have to use a PC to do the one off set up. At best, you'll be able to set it up through a Mac browser. :)

Airport Extreme

Personally I like the airport extreme because I have one computer hard wired and the other wireless. Also you can print wirelessly to the printer by hooking up the printer using usb to the AE. It's expensive but hey it works great, the student discount also made me buy it....
