I buy Apple products, but I wouldn't dream of spending the kind of money on clothes that you probably have to at Abercrombie & Finch.

Cuz they're trying to build themselves an image, like only rich or fashionable people should use macs.. that's why you see macs in starbucks, rich hip young professionals..

I have no problem with that. The only things I hate more than poor people are unfashionable people. If they come too close to me, I bat them away with my Pradas.

Wait, Apple is trying to create an image? They're 30 years old and one of the pioneering personal computing companies - there's no image to be created.

I rather pay a little more for a laptop and get a laptop that i can use out of the box, i am not intrested in doing tons of work (virus checking, deleting pre-loaded software, installing software like iphoto, itunes and many others) before i can use it.

While I agree, I see a lot of people buying the Apple products for image alone, I personally just enjoy an OS that won't bomb on me multiple times a day. That and the simple, none flashy designs, minus that glowing Apple, but heres a question...

Personally, I wouldn't be seen dead at starbucks, it's the mcdonalds of the coffee world.

How it's a crime to like ones laptop decent looking with a nice OS and good design I have no idea, I don't care what others think of me I just like my notebook to be the best notebook I can get and for me and allot of others that happens to be a mac.

Apple's components are of a higher quality, you hear the cpu whine on CD macs because the fans are off or quiet most of the time, all Core Duo chipsets do this. apple uses the best OEM's to make their computers and has the lowest return rates because of it, just you don't hear about every fault every dell or HP has because no one cares, with apple it's suddenly the top story in the news.
