Wonder why we didn't get the Nike faces... I guess the thinking is that we get other exclusive faces so we don't get those? Just seems odd that Hermes owners wouldn't get them. Not a huge deal, just wondering. I've been on the beta program and they aren't there, but they are there for other non Hermes models running the latest betas.
My guess is that Nike and Hermes aren’t in a partnership.

It is lame though as they said ALL watches would receive them.

Yes, it‘s probably a branding thing. That may be why we’re getting the Lucky Horse. Apple gave the Nike ”slots” to Hermes to fill with its own watch faces.

So as we saw, Hermes web stores around the world removed everything Apple watch related, and now are back with the new bands.

What does that mean for the older bands? Historically have we seen them come back for sale? They were in stock 2 days ago, so physically, they're sitting somewhere.
Hermes HK website still have the older bands (and airtags) in its catalog

this year there are 6 new straps and they are all beautiful in color. Note that the nylan straps may leave us soon. perhaps they did not have the hoped-for success or it is not Hermès' true core business and it was imposed by Apple (without much success).
however the first will be the blue of france and then the rest of the collection

They did do a small Nylon lineup with Circuit taking up a lot of space in Fall 2021, with a big return to Nylon in Spring…here’s hoping. I think I want a Bleu Lin Jumping over the Rouge Sellier, mostly because i have Saphir/Orange already.

Does anyone plan to use their Hermes band with Apple Watch Ultra? I know Hermes bands only come with silver or black connectors, not titanium... but I am hoping the 44mm Hermes Bleu Saphir/Orange Jumping Single Tour (silver connectors) looks nice with the Ultra because it will match with the orange buttons. I do tend to wear a little loose like a bracelet rather than tight on the skin.

It doesn’t lose connection and make you keep unlocking? The newer bands fit a little loose on me on the second to last hole and a little tight on the last hole so I opt for a little loose but then it makes me enter my passcode throughout the day 😔

No it hasn't done that to me, but maybe because the face doesn't fall upside down and stays on the top of my wrist. You could consider no passcode unless it's an issue. The only issue I face is when trying to get an accurate HR I have to hold it down but I don't often use that feature.

Well let's pretend that I change the lugs to aftermarket ones that match. I'm wondering if the technical tool watch look of the watch will look mismatched with the sophisticated look of the Hermes bands. It could be eclectic chic or a disaster.

You have Panerai and what not with nicer leather bands, but the design of those watches have stood the test of the time.

Now that we’ve seen two pics of this combo I think you might be right about the look not matching, even with swapped lugs.

To me, the Ultra and the Hermes are completely separate devices and I don’t think they really belong in the same conversation (despite occupying spaces at the top of the Apple Watch lineup). The Hermes line is about elegance and fashion, which is why we all rave about how much better the Hermes faces look than the Apple designed faces. The Ultra is the opposite- it’s all about function. The watch is chunky and larger than would be considered tasteful on most people’s wrists. But it’s designed to be that way. Several of the new Ultra bands are designed to fit over clothing.

The Ultra just isn’t targeted at the Hermes customer and I personally don’t think putting Hermes bands on it looks very good. I really wish Apple had named the Ultra something else like Extreme or Explorer. Ultra makes it sound like it’s “the best” watch. But it’s not really. It’s just a version that is targeted at a specific group of customers.

Well…it’s not my cup of tea personally. But fashion is a very individual thing so you do you! 🙃

I will say I think putting one of these new bands on a regular AW works better than putting an Hermes strap on the Ultra. The leather on the Hermes is so thin that it really needs to be paired with a thin watch (or as thin as the Apple Watch can be right now). The chonkiness of the Ultra is going to be a mismatch with the Hermes strap.

The thinness of the regular AW is more forgiving and so an Ultra strap still looks ok on it. I might consider picking up a trail loop for mine at some point depending on what they are like in person.

I ordered a silver series 8 Hermes with the Noir Gourmette Metal, I’m kicking myself I didn’t get Space Black as I got silver this year and have missed Space Black
Just checked and did a dummy order and if I configure the above combo it goes out to mid November 😭
Someone talk me out of it aiiyaaaaaaa
